About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring, knowing, learning...

ABOUT ME

A mix of Northern precision and Southern heat, but 100% Italian, despite the French adoption. I've lived for 8 months in Toulon, in the South of France, where I worked as a language teaching assistant, then I moved to Lyon and now I'm in Rodez, where I work as a travel agent. I'm currently looking for my way.
Friendly, always smiling, openminded. Sometimes late, but someone to trust and to count on.
I am very active, but I also like getting relaxed.
I speak a lot, but I also like silence.
I like cooking, tasting, eating...
I like staying in bed until late, listening to the sound of rain, walking barefoot, drinking tea (a lot of tea with a lot of sugar), walking on the seaside, going to the shops without buying anything ("pour le plaisir des yeux", as West Africans say), and many other things.

PHILOSOPHY

Let'g go green, everywhere!

I think we can appreciate the world better if we respect it and I think sustainablecouch (http://www.sustainablecouch.org/) is a great idea.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the beginning I joined CS to meet new people when moving in France. Then I found it was a great way to travel and to meet travellers. The site has changed, but not my welcoming spirit!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've always found great touristic guides, nice companies, interesting people, curiosity, generosity and, when I'm really lucky, even friends, real friends. For what I've seen, the sense of this community goes beyond the pure hosting or surfing experience.

Interests

I'm interested in multicultural societies, cultures, languages and food of other peoples.
I like manual jobs like cooking, diy, gardening, sewing...
I love taking pictures at windows.
Environmentally conscious and attentive to nature: I go by bike, I love cats and every sort of pet. At the moment I'm experiencing self-made products for the body: it's a funny and original way to use recipes!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I like listening to various kinds of music and I'm open to discover always something new, songs as well as instrumental music.
I don't like techno or that kind of noise: the most amazing music to danse is ska, whilst jazz adapts to every state of mind.
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Queen, Beach Boys, Dente, Perturbazione, De André...
Books:
I read journalistc books and novels, usually in a park or on the seaside: because setting matters!
Films:
I watch a lot TV series (Doctor House, Grey's anatomy, CSI...). I don't like thriller and fantasy films. I love Middle-Eastern productions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trip in West Africa is the most amazing trip I've ever done!

I woke up a friend singing "I want to break free", with a hoover in my hand, almost as Freddy Mercury in the videoclip.

I slammed my hand in a car door the first time I hitchhiked.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Italian language, cooking (everything, from pasta to cakes), elementary sewing, taking life easy.
I have to learn many things: show me what you can do, and I'll try to learn it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Guinea-Bissau, Italy, Mali, Netherlands, Portugal, Senegal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Italy
