ABOUT ME

I am a romantic and a dreamer but that doesn't stop me from being productive. I was born in the year of the dragon, on the cusp of aries & taurus during my country's 200th anniversary of independence(see if you can figure out the day). My name is derived from a holy mountain in israel called mount carmel.I was a dallas cowboy and new york met fan growing up.Seafood is my favorite food especially Lobster! But pasta, vegetables, cheese, fish, cured meats, fruits, seeds, legumes and bread is what i grew up eating. My favorite color is green. Favorite drink vodka and club soda on ice with lime. Favorite beer Guinness. Favorite wine is pinot noir. Love to play jeopardy and texas hold 'em. I love to laugh, laughter definitely keeps me sane. I love the oceans. I also love grizzly bears, humpback whales, elephants, lions, seagulls, starfish, seahorses, dogs, butterflys and lizards. Favorite flower is the sunflower.

PHILOSOPHY

Take advantage of every breath! To live in the present, learn from the past, and plan for the future. My sixth sense and the spiritual world are guides that i can not live without. I believe in helping and caring for all mankind, as well as all life that exists in our universe.Fear is the eternal enemy. But we alone choose to allow it into our hearts and once fear has entered our hearts it will lead us to a dark destiny, but as the wise men have said, "fear not" because there is a power that is eternally stronger than fear. It is Love. The greatest of all forces. Love is the holy truth, it is the key, the pathway that will lead us into understanding the unknown, to discover the mystery of life and existence, and into a realm that is greater than any of our dreams.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Showing people New york city and New Jersey....But nobody ever wants to see NJ. Maybe its because we have the most petroleum containers in the world (outside the middle east) or the most toxic waste dump sites in the USA or that we are the car theft capital of the world.....WHO CARES NJ is actually AWESOME...we are the birthplace of the light bulb, baseball, college football, the phonograph, the boardwalk, the ice cream cone**(okay i know im digging deep here) .....but nobody can take the Sopranos away from us.....If i can't sell you on NJ well then I'll just have to show you boring new york city.... Growing up only minutes away from nyc allowed me to build up a 31 year old relationship with the Big Apple that i cherish forever. .....I can show you what nyc was like in the 80's 90's and today. I remember the days when we could get served in bars when we were like 13 years old. Smoke out day in washington square park. Cutting class to go pregame in Hell's Kitchen on St. Patricks day , when the knitting factory used to be on houston, cbgb's sunday hardcore matinees, and strolling into smalls jazz club with a 12 pack and a bottle of vodka or whiskey listening to jazz until 6 in the morning or whenever you fell asleep whichever came first. The tunnel and the limelight, getting blazed at the fulton fish market in the morning, grammer school trips to the bronx zoo and yankee stadium, buying fireworks in crazy chinatown basements, when squaters ruled St. Marks and the lower east side and brought a spirit of rebellion and freedom which has unfortunately been replaced by a superficial class of robots, wanksta's, and wannabe's. But the true nyc spirit will never die it will rise again. From the ghosts of the lenape indians to old new amsterdam.The spirit of the irish, italian, puerto rican, polish, jewish, and african american ghettos, the bohemian subculture, the harlem renaissance, the industrial revolution, wall street, wtc, and everything in between! Nyc is a young city compared to other cities but there is no doubt that it ranks as one of the most powerful and influential cities throughout human history A city that will always remain the strongest in my heart. It runs through my veins.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked around Ireland all of june 2006....it was the sunniest, driest, and warmest June recorded in Ireland....It was also the best holiday i could ever have. Filled with miracles and blessings......The Irish people are truly some of the most intelligent, generous, and loving people i have ever met....IS FADA AN BOTHAR NACH MBIONN CASADH ANN!!!!!!! " it is a long road that has no turning"

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH:I can teach you the dialect, customs, and culture of the ancient city of Napoli!!I love to cook. I specialize in the cuisine of the Campagnia region of Italy. I know recipes that are 200 years old and you wont find them in any recipe book. I also love to teach people about my country, which is America, a land that i love, and believe in. I can also try and teach you methods of how to be conscious in your dreams, to become active instead of passive in your dreams. Come to the realization that there are no limits within your dreams! Thats why I think dreams are one of the greatest gifts to mankind!
LEARN: I am just starting to learn french!!!!! I also want to learn how to play the tin whistle and the guitar. And to become a better chess player.
