CURRENT MISSION

Mi compañera de vida y de viaje es mi esposa Mariel, que también tiene perfil aquí (http://couchsurfing.com/people/maolivera) y, de hecho, nos conocimos en un evento de esta hermosa red en Buenos Aires hace ya más de 9 años.

Juntos viajamos y trabajamos por el mundo desde el 2016: estuvimos 2 años en movimiento por Sudamérica y 2 por Europa, un año quietos por el COVID (como gran parte del mundo), un año viajando por Argentina en un auto que vendimos para seguir el nomadismo.

En nuestro último viaje estuvimos recorriendo Asia por un año y medio, pero ya estamos de vuelta en Argentina, con una base temporal en donde queremos alojar viajeros nuevamente :D

My life and travel partner is my wife Mariel, who also has a profile here (http://couchsurfing.com/people/maolivera) and, in fact, we met at an event of this beautiful network in Buenos Aires more than 9 years ago.

Together we have been traveling and working around the world since 2016: we spent 2 years on the move in South America and 2 in Europe, a year still for COVID (like most of the world), a year traveling through Argentina in a car that we sold to continue our nomad life.

On our last trip we were traveling through Asia for a year and a half, but we are now back in Argentina, with a temporary base where we want to host travelers again :D

ABOUT ME

Es difícil describirme. Creo que una buena manera de que puedan saber acerca de mí es leyendo las referencias que me han dejado en el perfil de CS.

Es evidente que me apasiona viajar y aprender de historia y de otras culturas siempre a través del contacto con la gente local, en ese sentido CS es ideal. Me encanta cocinar y comer y parte de la experiencia de viaje es experimentar la gastronomía local.

It is difficult to describe me. I think a good way to let you know about me is to read the references that have left me on the CS profile.

It is evident that I am passionate about traveling and learning about history and other cultures always through contact with local people, in that sense CS is ideal. I love cooking and eating and part of the travel experience is to experience the local cuisine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Asisto a eventos de CouchSurfing siempre que se presenta la oportunidad en la ciudad en la que me encuentro de viaje y con mi esposa nos alojamos con locales con cierta frecuencia también.

Cuando estamos en nuestra ciudad alojamos viajeros habitualmente y cuando no estamos, muchas veces familiares y amigos alojan en representación nuestra. Además siempre nos tomamos el tiempo de brindarles nuestro tiempo a los viajeros, para que puedan sentirse como en casa.

En viaje, cuando alquilamos un departamento completo también alojamos viajeros, aunque no seamos en sí locales.

I attend CouchSurfing events whenever the opportunity arises in the city where I am traveling and with my wife we stay with locals with some frequency as well.

When we are in our city we host travelers regularly and when we are not, many times family and friends host on our behalf. We also always take the time to give our time to travelers, so that they can feel at home.

When traveling, when we rent an entire apartment we also host travelers, even if we are not locals ourselves.
