Interests

Here are the details of a movie I made in 2011 in Berlin, Germany.

Living Soccer is an Independent Guerrilla No-Budget Digital Documentary I plan to shoot in Berlin during the 2006 Soccer World Cup.

So,
No money is involved. (I repeat: no money is involved) It is not only about having any money to support the movie; it is also about NOT wanting to be involved in any money transaction in this experience. This is a project free of money (thank God)

So,
No companies.
No big studios.
No business connections
Just us.

“Film will only become art when its materials are as inexpensive as pencil and paper. –Jean Cocteau

The philosophy of this project is not about money. It is about surviving and creativity. It is not only about what we are doing but also it is about how we are going to accomplish it.

So,
No lies.
Honesty.
Respect.

Project:
This project will try to explore an extra sportive issues such as racism, D.I.Y. (do it yourself) philosophy, surviving, nationalism, identity, sex, violence, languages, the ‘others’, flags, soccer, ethics, corporation agendas, hyper super mass media control, and love.

Synopsis Draft-Draft:
The crew members of a guerrilla no-budget movie from different countries pretend to shoot a documentary to explore the human relationship in Berlin during the 2006 Soccer World Cup. They soon will realize that the thing they are exploring will explore them. The documentary-movie, now, full of crazy scenes of soccer hooligan fans from all around the world, will become more about how to survive in Berlin 2006 than the original idea.

Teach, Learn, Share

This schedule is as flexible as possible to reduce expenses and give opportunities to all talented people that want to be part of this. So, you can join us just one day, one week, or you can have the complete experience (14 days). Be sure to show up the day we need your language. For example, if you speak Japanese I’d love to count on you during the Japan vs. Brazil game.

I am going to need at least three people for the whole trip, from June 21 to June 24 and from June 30 to July 9: a cameraman with a 3CCD, a sound guy with equipment, and a journalist/actress/model.

For those who are planning to join us just a few days, we need you to bring your own equipment. We are scheduling at least 8 hours work per day.

I repeat: expenses won’t be covered (no money, no transportation, no hosting, no food)

How much are you going to need per day?
- $25 per room in a hostel (http://old.web02.djh.de/inter national/html/wc2006/venues.js p)
- $20 food,
- $7 transportation once at the city, plus the cost of the intercity trains for Phase II because I’m going to rent a car for Phase I).
