Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

****** NO GUESTS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2015!! PLEASE, don't even bother messaging me until after September 1, 2015. You'll bring down my response rating because I won't be logged in until then. We bought a house (YAY!!) but now we're in the middle of some gnarly renovations. ******

I participate in CS by spreading the good word. I love this community and attribute to it so many good experiences and new-found friendships.

This is my awesome boyfriend's profile:

We live together in a two bedroom apartment equipped with a large couch, a queen size air mattress, two cats and one small dog. Hope you're not allergic! (To the animals, not the boyfriend).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Zoo-bombing in Portland, Oregon (think animals on bikes), snowfall in Milan for Christmas, 117 degree weather at 10 am in Texas.

Also - a beating human heart held in the hand of another human being. This is completely unrelated to any Couchsurfing/traveling experience and solely to my line of work. Pretty freekin amazing no matter what!

Teach, Learn, Share

Always.

A girl from New Mexico once told me that she firmly believed all meals should be held in a family-style manner. That is, everyone gathered around the table, sharing and engaging in laughter and conversation. I ate this way often with people I met while traveling through the South. Today, we eat in this way as much as possibe. It brings a new meaning to "family."
