ABOUT ME

The basics: loves traveling (hey what a surprise), currently living in the Netherlands but have been living in South Africa for the last few months, 25 years old , I love MUSIC & have a chronic grin 'cos I love living life.

I busy finishing my masters in clinical psychology, which I genuinely like! I 'took off' two years as a student to find out if I actually wanted to become a psychologist. Traveling, working, making music, meeting all kind of people and chilling where the main things I did those years. Not really psychology-related things, but notheless it became clear to me that it's likely that I'll 'do' something with human beings. Does anyone need some kind of travel psychologist? If that exist, call me in!

I created a huge addiction the last two years, an addiction to traveling! Out of the blue I decided to love New Zealand and for that reason (and for millions others) I traveled to the other side of the world to explore my new-born passion and meet some family living up there. Obviously I felt in love with this amazing country...

I currently live in Utrecht, which is a lovely town in the Netherlands. I love to show and share the hidden beauty of it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm always keen for adventures, that's for sure! Besides that I have to say that I am a very happy person who likes to help out others. I reckon that combination makes me 'another' real couchsurfer:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurf experience wasn't that nice.. So the fist impression wasn't positive (which I didn't expect at all). I'm glad that many people persuaded me to give it another go. My second host was great, so I guess I just had bad luck the first time. Now I'm totally in love with the concept of couchsurfing!

I surfed in Lille (france), Galway (Ireland)and a few places in New Zealand (Wellington, Nelson)

Interests

TRAVELING, MUSIC & HUMAN BEINGS

Well traveling, that's kind of obvious.

MUSIC is what I like in the broad sense of the word. I like to listen music, make music, visit concerts+festivals and discover new bands and singer-songwriters. I sing and play the bass guitar in a band with two friends, called Pick-a-Lily. I make my own songs/creations, play a bit of guitar and yeah, just give me some jam sessions!!!

There's a bunch of other things I'm interested to. I basically like nearly everthing, what can be kind of annoying sometimes when it comes to making descions gehe
I recently started to do some (rock)climbing, I like to do outdoors stuff and some diving, snowboarding and salsa dancing. Wandering around and any kind of adventures (whatever that may be), is the best!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliff jumping in Southern Thailand, drinking Guiness as a real 'Irishman' in Galway, getting a direct hitch to Paris (lucky bastard), climbing in a waterfall in Laos, being at the hobbit premiere in Wellington, riding ostriches in South Africa, playing guitar on the beach with the most stunning view in front of me to call a few examples .

Actually going places and being able to go everywhere, having friends all over the world & being home and unbelievable happy as well.. That's all I need right?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Lesotho, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Thailand
