ABOUT ME

At the moment I'm on my second WHV in Australia. I'm based in Melbourne and work in hospitality.
I am a very easy going, open, optimistic and friendly girl.
I enjoy being outside, be active and hang out with friends or meet new people. Game nights specially drinking games ;-) are a great opportunity to fill some boring evenings during the week.
Somehow I lost my passion for food. But I already started cooking new recipes. And I have this great idea of making my own bread, spread, pesto and crackers. And hopefully my passion will come back one day.
My Plan for the next years is to finish my time in Australia, save up a bit of money. Make my way around Asia, maybe find a volunteer position in teaching English. And one day I would love to volunteer on a turtle farm in Costa Rica.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a really great Party on New Year's Eve with CouchSurfers in Düsseldorf.
I met many nice people on the weekly CS meeting in Frankfurt and Wellington.
Most of the nights on our India trip we could stay with CS and it was just an amazing experience.
In New Zealand I met a few Couchsurfers. The weekly CS meeting was my first opportunity to make new friends.

Interests

swimming, hiking, yoga, travelling, good books, friends, camping, playing games, hacky sack, shopping, dancing, healthy lifestyle, poetry slams, piercings and tattoos, retro, exploring new cities, meeting new people
Projects for my next year are knit my own scarf and learn how to play a guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books by Frank Schätzing, Stephen King, Nicholas Sparks, Charlotte Link, Paulo Coelho. The last good books I've read were The Corious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time; The Alchemist; The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency; A long walk to water; Gone girl and Eat,Pray,Love.
Movies i like: Finding Nemo, Grease, Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Whale Rider, Rain Man, Catfish, Zeitgeist, Up, Idiocracy, Wall-E, Die Hard, Flightplan. Movies by Fatih Akin and Pedro Almodovar.
Music: 50s to 90s, Tracy Chapman, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Lexy and K-Paul, Beatsteaks, Ok Go, Alanis Morissette, Passenger, Aretha Franklin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled around North India especially to see the Taj Mahal was a great experience.
Met my best friends family in Tanzania
Visited the Fox Glacier in New Zealand and walked on the ice.
