About Me

I'm quite the chill fellow, also a bit shy but eager to meet new places and people! I know a big bearded guy that might not always look that much friendly. So I'm kind of awkward, but do have the best intentions! :) I study and love philosophy, play a few musical instruments (though unless asked I'll surely not play in others' places), and am a bit of a gamer.

Important Notice: I try my HARDEST not to be an annoying philosophy student. Academic topics are for the Academy. No uninvited philosophizing will take place from me, that I assure you.

Also, I don't smoke (though have nothing against who do) (as long as it's far from me.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting the best out of travelling! After I began staying in hostels and in locals' places I found out what is REALLY getting to know a new place.

Interests

Music (listening and playing); human behavior (through philosophy, psychology, biology etc.); books, meeting new people and hanging out with friends, hiking & camping, antiques, good beers and good movies (specially b-movies), amateur astronomy and gaming.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: chill/unpretensious movies (like The Big Lebowski, Carnage), trash gore b-rated movies (like Braindead, Re-Animator, The Toxic Avenger), Tarantino-like (Machete, Rock'n'Rolla, Planet Terror, Snatch), Lynch, and Tim Burton somewhat.

Music: from blues to heavy metal, from vaporwave to folk ( last.fm/user/incipitoblivion ).

Books: Lovecraft, Poe (good horror in general), Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, Carl Sagan, Tolkien, Bernard Cornwell, Douglas Adams, Philip Roth. Not an exhaustive list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to a completely alien country where they spoke a language I barely understood at the time - Buenos Aires, Argentina. Best (and scariest) experience of my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about different cultures, any kind of world perspective different than my own. I find it is amazing such a variety is possible from such similar 'raw materials' as our own as a species. History, customs, beliefs, everything.

And I love teaching! I have a reasonable notion of philosophy, music (can teach some basic theory, instrument playing tips etc.), b-movies and aforementioned interests which I'm happy to share. I can also handle myself pretty well with a computer (specially hardware-wise) and a bit with general house tasks. I can make a pretty mean mate (local beverage),

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respect above all, and anything reasonably within my powers!
