ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty relaxed human being. I like live music, hip-hop, Turntablism and dancing to electronic music and going to doofs/music festivals is one favorite things in life. I enjoy going out for dinner and going to see a good movie. I have not had cable tv for over 10 years and do not like to veg out that much.

I want to see as much of Australia while I am living here, so road trips and hiking will be taking up much of my time and it would be awesome to find some like minded people to travel with.

In Canada I was told a lot about Australia from various people but one thing that seemed to be unanimous was the love for Melbourne and I could not agree more!

PHILOSOPHY

On September 28th 2011, I will be leaving Canada for a trip of a lifetime to Australia. This has been a goal of mine since I was a kid and now I have gotten myself a work visa for a year, putting my belongings in storage, saying good by to my loved ones and will spend the next year down under.

I have spent the last 8 years of my life working for the man and felt that working hard now and playing later was the right direction. Simply put, this is very wrong!

I hope I will be able to take my experiences from a year abroad and use that to come back and find a balance between life and work. We are on this planet and need to live every day as if it might be are last. To quote Chuck Norris, (because who does not want to quote Norris) "If you want to accomplish anything in life, you can't just sit back and hope it will happen. You've got to make it happen."

I thought I would leave the top part because it meant a lot to me when I wrote it. Things have change and I am now living in Melbourne and love the Aussie life! If I were to give a real personal philosophy I would say I live my life by the Golden Rule and Karma. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to go and meet new people at the CS meet up nights. I have also been to a Canadian Thanksgiving dinner hosted by a local Aussie that was amazing.

I am not able to host where I am but one day I will for sure!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a couchsurfer for a long time before I found this site and love the hospitality of kind people around the world. I also make great breakfast!!

Interests

Music - Hiphop/Turntableisum, Dubstep and most electronic music and a bit of everything else and I love to dance!

Games - I like to play a game here and there on my computer and I can get into MTG from time to time, I travel with a deck just in case.

Outdoors - Hiking and anything around the water.

Technology - I am a bit of a geek..

Videography - This is new for me but I am falling in love with filming and editing.

I am a skilled computer tech, this is my full time gig. I can fix pretty much any issue. I can trade computer work or knowledge with Mac or PC people.
