Oslo to Berlin by bike :D

PREVIOUS MISSIONS AND OCCURRENCES:

-Rainbow Gathering Germany, The Absolute Opposite of That.
-Feel off my motorbike going through Bali towards a diving spot. Got to the spot and dived anyway. Rubbed my injury to try and get a shy shark a little bit closer to see it clearly <3.
-Made perennial friendship with a set of brilliant and inspiring Indonesian youngsters, that built an English school in their backyard and are doing absolutely wonderful stuff. Check them out and help if possible! http://ourchanceindonesia.com/
-Accidentally ended up living with drug dealers for a week.
-Spent some days alone hiking in the Alps, during which I met my spirit animal when running out of water.

ABOUT ME

Hi there! Pleasure to meet you through the Internet! :D

I'm Xanto, Spanish, and I joined CS in 2011, when a host from Germany trusted me and my lack of references enough to let me sleep at his place and start a life of adventure and friendship :)

I do go on and off in this platform that has given so much to me because I get distracted with work and career goals, and also because when I do host people or travel I give my all to people, and then I need a big period to recharge my batteries.

I love people that thrive on challenge and just have to do things a bit different. I love instant friendship and physical and emotional closeness to people that cross my path.

Sports (boulder, diving, hiking, bikes) and nature form an integral part of me, as well as talking with people I feel curious about, on the spot, wherever I am. It's amazing where a "Hi!", a smile and a bit of sincere interest can get you.
I love the sensation of freedom of travelling alone yet making new friends everywhere, being kind and actively authentic.

I am straight edge, don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs.
I eat vegan for the last 4 or 5 years and define relationships with others differently to most people.

I love deep conversations, and I do have to warn you, once I start once of those, we might not stop talking and poking each other's brains until sunrise.

I also love video games and digital entertainment. I can make games, and I've sold a few really bad educational games to a US platform. I can show you while blushing.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live my life along with others, being happy and successful by my own terms, having freedom on how I spend the time I've been given.

I dream with a future where everyone will find their own way to a selfless life full of joy and actively authentic communication.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am independent now, and host surfers in the same room I sleep at. If you don't like that but are going to Berlin and want to go out to the city, or better, the lakes or nature, or just meet someone, make sure you send me a message, I'll show you places most tourists skip.

If I'm in Berlin at that moment, you will have a partner. :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I have done?

The moment I decided to change, almost a decade ago, fighting against the wrong personality I had spent all my life building strongly block by block, destroying it and initiating a new life.

An amazing thing seen?

The Couchsurfing initiative, and many many others in the web that make me watch in awe how things I thought were utopias are being made reality. This kind of attitude and altruism in people around me and far away is what made me able to see that my way of being was misguided and unhealthy.
