About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Give love, expect nothing back.

ABOUT ME

Calm, poised, warm. I have an unreasonably positive outlook on life and tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. I love going out of my way to connect with people and tend to act before thinking... I immigrated to California in 2001 and have made it my home for the last decade or so.

PHILOSOPHY

"The world is what it is, it's our job to simply present ourselves as boldly and clearly to it as possible, accept the reactions and move on the opportunities. Anything else is a fool's errand"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I'm working my ass off at a small company I'm really passionate about. I try to make time for CS when I can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in the north pacific in the US and Canada so far. Both places were great!

Interests

I love the intensity of the connection in Argentine tango. At the same time, I also love the powerful expression of hip-hop dancing. Sports like Krav Maga and rock climbing lets me channel my emotions and keeps me sane and relaxed.

Music, Movies, and Books

A friend recommended Norwegian Wood (by Haruki Murakami) to me a while back. I have no idea where I was at my life when she recommended it to me, but I really fell in love with the narrative and the characters. It had its tragic moments, but the events just felt so... real. So right.

I try to make more time for books than movies, but Michael Clayton really stands out for me. The movie explores how fragile the human mind can be (the supporting actor plays an attorney going insane... yeah). It plays out a little like a mystery thriller at times, which was unexpected. Oh, and George Clooney is one sexy man.

Music is a funny beast. I used to exclusively listen to Korean artists (Epik High, Big Bang), but I've become much more open to other artists (Maroon 5, The XX, Adele).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The sensation of snow falling upon my shoulders in March. It felt so surreal...
