Hi! My name is Fatih. I'm 31 years old and I live in Istanbul, Turkey. I'm a freelance travel writer. At the same time I'm a digital marketer and a search engine optimization consulter for brands.

My friends say I am friendly, easy going and funny. I love interacting with new people and making friends. I like to see new locations, new foods, new people, new cultures.

I try to give respect to everyone whatever their nationality, religion or culture is. I like talking on different topics. I am quite talkative if I meet one or two new people but if there is a big group I prefer to stay quite and enjoy listening what they talk. I like sharing my experiences with others and like to know about theirs.

I love travelling and discovering new places. My country is big and I've already seen all regions of my country long time ago. I want to travel the entire world but my pocket does not allow me to do that. I wish I could get enough money to make my dreams true one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a an amazing way of meeting new people and hearing all about the countries and their traditions and cultures.

I try to participate as much as I can. I always try to host people even it's a last minute request. I prefer being a CS guest than staying at a hostel to know more about local culture and meeting new people. I try to attend CS weekly meetings in every city I can go.

I've already had good amount of CS experience in short span of time and everyone of them was not just good but great. I have hosted, surfed and met a number of local people in my city. I have made number of friends through CS and every single one of them is so nice.

Interests

There is a very long list. Almost every new thing interests me but my biggest interest is body sports training, travel, new locations, new people and new cultures.

Live my life and see the world and get to know other cultures. Travelling to remote places and learning about different ways of life. At the same time; travel writing, travel photography, travel videos, trekking, meeting new people.

Mostly, I listen to blues and Latin pop music. And mostly, I watch movies about nature and travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its not a big thing for most of the people on CS but as I come from a country where many people don't prefer going to other countries to travel and even if they travel, they prefer going with a group of friends, its an achievement for me that I traveled alone in many countries.
