ABOUT ME

I'm outgoing and adventurous. I always love to try new things and I live in the moment. I'm incredibly spontaneous-so if you have an idea, let's go! I'm pretty sarcastic most of the time, but I've been known to have heart to hearts and even been told I give good advice (but I guess those who can't do, teach...haha).

Interests

I love poetry. I love writing. I love performance. I love meeting new people, talking with them, and hearing their stories. There is something magical in all of those forms of expression that can keep me going even on the gloomiest day. I love to be out in the sunshine. I love the ocean. I love exploring (rural or urban). I know there is so much out there in the world, and I just want to experience as much of it as I can!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Both are from my first time going abroad in January 2012.
My first moment was on the flight to Cape Town, SA, looking out the window at night and seeing nothing but ocean and cloud. It was majestic. At that moment I realized how big the world is and how little of it I've seen. I also realized how much beauty there was that I wasn't even aware existed...
My second "awestruck moment" was seeing the Cape of Good Hope. I was fortunate enough to take a boat ride along the cape and I had the most AMAZING time. It was so incredibly beautiful and so far removed from anything I'd ever experienced that I began to tear up. I felt so incredibly lucky to be there in that moment, even with my hair whipping around my face. I felt like I was flying. What a great place for the first boat ride of my life :)
