About Me

CURRENT MISSION

For seven years I've studied philosophy, till march 2011, and now it's time for me to travel some. First I went to Berlin, then Paris, and now I have my eyes on San Francisco, where I want to spend a couple months.

ABOUT ME

I'm a person, who reflects alot upon life and my surroundings. I consider myself a philosopher, and my main goal right now is learning how to live and be happy. I want to discover this by traveling and meeting people.
I think that in conversation people discover not only their counterpart, but also themselves, because only explicated thoughts have the opportunity to be verified. I find this subtle moment very exciting, when either me or the other discovers something new through a rich, interesting and fulfilling conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

I let life uncover itself on it's own. And from what I get offered I choose what I like most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I only registered in CS lately, but I plan to be a long term user, both surfing, and later hosting when I finally have a place that I settle at.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I didn't have the pleasure to experience couchsurfing through this site, but I did couchsurf not even knowing theres a place like this to connect. :) Long time ago I hosted a friend that i met on an internet forum, he needed a place to crash while he came to Warsaw for a job interview.
Another time my friend from Canada that I met while playing Warcraft 3, and he told me he thinks of comming to Poland, I asked him why won't he stay at my place, and he did. :)
And last year I've gone to my friends' sister in Berlin. After that I visited Paris where my old friend lives.
Thats might not be exactly couchsurfing, but I think it all was in the same spirit. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to whatever music I find pleasant, no matter the genre. I like reading books, I've read quite some of them, but nowadays I don't read as much as I would like to... :( Among my favourite authors are Houellebecq Palahniuk, Dostoyevsky, Heidegger, Bulhakov...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Paris, when me and my friend got off the subway, she realised her hair clip is missing. It was a matter of seconds, she started looking inside the train, where a guy recognized she's looking for something, and he started scanning his surroundings, he found the clip and while the train was departing he threw it out the window.
It all happened so fast, that I only realised what all the commotion was about after the train left. This kind of small gestures from people towards people, understanding eachother without words show me how amazing and complex the world is. That all people are fellow travelers. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Wanna learn chess? I started playing not long ago, but I can explain some ideas about the game. Or if you are good at chess -- please teach me! :D
