About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working abroad

ABOUT ME

I just love travelling, making new friends, doing new stuff in new places!
I love to learn other languages and cultures through various interactions, one of which certainly include travelling!
The best part is to talk about all the different issues on politics, economics, culture, language, social problems and one another's travel experiences over a few drinks!

PHILOSOPHY

If you don't live as you think, you'll think as you've lived. Have philosophy/principles of your own!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was travelling Spain for about three weeks by myself and wanted to take my backpack trip to a different level. Instead of relying on limited network of acquaintances, I found that this whole CS project can exponentially broaden not only your network but also the scope of your travel experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since I didn't have any close friend in Spain and heard about this amazing way to interact, I chose to put this on trial. I had organized the whole trip in such hurry that I could not easily find the couch but a few CS meetings I had participated in and organized was so much fun and made so many different friends from different cultural backgrounds!

Interests

Sports (Football, Basketball, Baseball, etc.)
Travelling, of course!! (esp. international backpack trips)
International Relations (Diplomacy), Law, Finance/Economics

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the movies by Woody Allen and his recent projects in Europe like Vicky, Cristina and Barcelona and Midnight in Paris. I also like to watch action films like Unknown, Transformers.

I love all kinds of music. I don't want to set preferences. I just listen and if I like the beat and the sound, that's my music.

I like to read non-fiction books mostly but still hang on to the imagination-loving parts of myself. I recently read some novels by Guillome Musso and Douglas Kennedy. For non-fictions, I like to read about social issues. I am not too picky in terms of which field of study as long as it has something to do with current events. I love to read about world history, political systems, international relations, economics and finance, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Travelled Japan from Hokkaido to Kagoshima on train!
-Did a bull-run in Spain. Ran with a bunch of bulls chasing down on me. Fantastic Experience!
-Watched "El Clasico" derby between Real Madrid C.F. and FC Barcelona during 2011 Super Copa at Camp Nou. It was 3-2 game with a last-minute goal by Messi.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to teach languages since that's what I am good at. Since the interest in Korea and Korean culture is growing, the chance for me to explain about it gets more frequent. I also like to hear others' stories which broadens my perspective.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, South Korea, United States
