ABOUT ME

I am a cheerful and playful person, trying not to take life too seriously and keep the child living in me. Energetic and driven, bit idealistic, bit strange and spontaneous. Sometimes like to go with the flow to enjoy what life has to offer. Sometimes calm and unassuming, yet always - warm and friendly, eager to share in many experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes.

I surf, I host, I meet people. That's what this project was created for :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Official CS experience consists of surfing in Russia, CS meetings in London. Hosting some girls while I was living in UK. Unofficial - lots of living places and activities shared with exchange students both on their and mine trips.

Interests

Already for several years I have been a mentor for international exchange students. Best call in my study years!
Carried away by Postcrossing - best way to see more of this planet while not travelling.
Other interests include psychology, sociology, marketing, reading, Spanish language, Greek mythology, discovering cozy corners and admiring city lights at night.
Like most of people (like every couch-surfer should)I like travelling, meeting new people, finding kindred souls (doesn't happen too often but every time it does - the world becomes brighter).
Oh, and going on a spontaneous adventure is always on the top list!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: 12 Angry Men, Into the Wild, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, American beauty, Walk the Line, Mr. Nobody, Big Fish, 500 days of Summer, Before Sunrise trilogy. Series: BBT, Mind Your Language.

Music: Johhny Cash, Damien Rice, Aerosmith, Kelly Family, Roxette, Slade and so much more. Meaningful lyrics ant the rhythm that makes move along.

Books: mostly everything by Remarque, Anne of Green Gables, The picture of Dorian Gray, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Actually every book that broadens horizons, inspires or make look at things with slightly different eyes than before. Current passion - Alain de Botton! That guy is amazing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I happened to witness how a mother rabbit gave birth to her children. Things like that makes your heart beat faster.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to make Lithuanian lazybones that get popular everywhere I go :)
