About Me

I ONLY WANT TO MEET UP. I AM NOT HOSTING.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
CURRENT MISSION

Trying to hitchhike to the galaxy!!

ABOUT ME

Hello Rainbow People!

Where to start..?
Struggling hard not to be too crazy :P

Because I'm bored with always writing the usual stuff in my profile I will try to write the non-usual stuff!
When I'm angry or stressed I just go to the woods and scream at loud. You should try it, it really helps.
Eat banana on my pancakes.
Like to wash the dishes.
Count steps and letters in words, subtitles and then add them up, haha kind of annoying really.
Usually wearing socks in different colors.
Reading the newspaper backwards.
I enjoy walking in the cemetery.
Trying to break my habits in everyday life.

Otherwise was a hip hop dancer but I´m interested in all kind of sports- hiking, softball, climbing, bicycling, running, swimming..
I recently decided to start playing a violin with no previous knowledge of music because I am mesmerised by the sound of the violin which feels like combing my brain!
My everyday mission is to be happy and help everyone.
I´m also a really honest person and sometimes shy as well- would like to change that.
Maybe one of my bad characteristics is that I get too much excited about things I see for the first time..
I have an older sister and a cat, which I adore.
At the moment I'm studying Biodiversity and nature conservation. Otherwise, an easy going person, trying to be calm about everything, so please no nervous people around me. :P
Sometimes lost in my own dream land, but all the time trying to meet my own criteria not other's.
I'm a vegan and am also concerned for the environment.

I want to try all types of traveling- from sailing, hitchhiking a submarine, rafting, jumping with a parachute, deep sea diving, even flying into space, why not?

It is interesting for me to expand my mind by experiencing new things, meeting new people, sharing ideas, knowledge, skills, stories, let the energy flow through… and form a circle. A family. To connect, to network, create everlasting memories.

To be. In the presence of nature, fresh air, sleep under the bare sky and millions of stars. To have stardust as my blanket and sunshine rays as my food. Dance in the firelight, sing the harmonious song of birds.

To absorb the colors that Mother Nature is offering us. Turquoise pools, green forests, blue skies, colorful birds, blazing red sunsets. To observe repetitive shapes, structures and sequences in the nature.

To get in motion. Be active in mind and body. Everybody knows these two go along well.

And last but not least- to ENJOY myself. Laugh, express, feel.

PHILOSOPHY

Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone, just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had. - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Be different.
Be yourself.

Everybody dies but not everybody lives!

And last but not least...
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf, host, share my experiences, energy, stories, ideas.
A few times I showed some travelers around Ljubljana.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I showed around and met some couchsurfers in my hometown. I also hosted a few people that I met through CS or while traveling.
I was hosted many times by now and it was the most beautiful and special experience in my life. Travelling like this is just priceless! In your request include word jagoda, so I know you at least read my profile.
I must add that everyone I met from CS, were wonderful, adventurous, exciting and happy people!

Interests

Permaculture, organic gardening, ecovillages, sustainable lifestyle, transition network, collectives living by these kind of values, knowing edible wild plants, DIY and repairing stuff, forest gardens.
Firecamps and dancing around them. And on top of that baking an apple in it mjaaaami!
Sleeping in the nature.
Thinking of my future-to-be house build from natural materials somewhere in the middle of a forest, being surrounded by my tribe (this is just a dream so far).
Well as I stated above I like dancing!
Otherwise I also trained softball. :)
Playing board games.
Lately, after walking camino in Spain, I developed a habit of walking from point A to point B instead of taking a bus or going by car.
I'm interested in nature and science; nature conservation, animals, zoology, animal behaviour, forests, marine biology, carnivores, ecosystems, renewable sources of energy, ornithology, botany, evolution, protected areas, shifting people's mindset......
I like hiking and trekking a lot! It seems that my mind works differently on top of a mountain, the blissfullness and mindfullness are much easier achieved up there.
I like to stretch, do yoga or meditation. Everything connected to this theme interests me really.
I'm a volunteer and activist for Greenpeace!
I am amazed by outer space, string theory, quantum physics, Large Hadron Collider, wormholes, time travel, gravity theories, gravitational time dilation, planets, galaxies etc. That doesn't mean I have extensive knowledge about it, but I love to read, talk, learn about it as a hobby!
I would recommend everyone to try as much youth exchanges and voluteering as possible.
Tattoos and tattooing.
Vikings.
Currently I am doing illustrations and beautiful teapots and cups form clay.
I'm a big bookworm when I have the time to read.
I love cooking and even more baking!
I'm very interested in filmmaking and photography.
My next obssesion is my cat and of course travelling. My wish is to hitch-hike around the world one day (cheesy, I know!)-but mostly to far away places & islands, with few turists. I would like to try to hitch-hike a boat.
Concerts and festivals are my thing.
Rolling down the hill.
Making pictures while bicycling.
I´m also interested in motorcycles, hope to have one when I´m a bit older :)
And I may be weird, but I like Math :P

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: the first and foremost is of course live music from my friends when jamming on different instruments :)
But besides that Dead Combo, Buena Vista Social Club, Mammal Hands, Tygroo, Baba Zula, Hedningarna, Fabrizio de Andre, Moderat, M83, The cat empire, Onda Vaga, Devendra Banhart, Enya, The National, Sigur Ros, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Nahko bear and Medicine for the people, James Blake, Akua Naru, Friendly Fires, Mumford & Sons, Angus & Julia Stone, The Paper Kites, Blackbird Blackbird, Chris Malinchak, Crystal Fighters, Flying Lotus, Stumbleine, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Gramatik, Hans Zimmer, The Naked and Famous, Alt-J, Lykke Li, Bruce Springsteen, Hozier, Ben Howard, Fink, Xavier Rudd, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Daughter, Bon Iver, Klangkarussell, Apparat...

Movies: well it's hard to say because I like to watch movies.. but mostly (history) drama, fantasy, sci-fi, adventure movies..

Books: at the moment I'm reading A Bee in a Cathedral: And 99 Other Scientific Analogies..
Update: currently reading What if? by Randall Munroe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing for me is to find amazing in ordinary- such as listening to rustling of leaves in the wind and be aware of it, look at the clouds form shapes, lay on grass, just listen to music, swinging on a swing, rain.. the best for me is when a storm is forming!
Otherwise..seeing Grand Canyon.
Building a Mongolian tent (yurt).
Being on a study exchange in Denmark, this is one prescription for really fast mind shifting!
Dumpsterdiving and all the funny experiences that go along with it.
Having the ability to just observe and appreciate nature and its processes.
Hitchiking through Ireland, Iceland and Netherlands.
Bathing in natural hot river in Iceland.
Long term volunteering on one of the Greenpeace ships.
Walking Camino de Santiago.
And the best feelings overwhelm me every day when I dance and laugh with friends.
Volunteering at Roskilde Festival 2013!
Seeing Northern lights in Lofoten island and trying real Finnish sauna ;)
Observing animals (mostly birdwatching) and wildlife tracking.
I will not disclose everything, where's the fun in that? You will just have to get to know me...

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm.. I could teach you how to make Slovenian national dessert Prekmurska gibanica (but with a recipe at my side :P), but be aware that it takes enormous amount of time to prepare it!
What else.. dumpsterdiving! I can also teach you how to be less embarrassed in the public and not care so much about what others think about you. And to dance without knowing how to dance, just let go for god's sake!
I can teach you how to make dreamcatchers.
Currently I am carving a spoon from the wood.
I love to discuss nature, biology, evolution, in short: all aspects of life evolving and adapting.

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO LEARN ANYTHING ABOUT PLAYING THE VIOLIN, SURVIVAL IN THE WILD, ASTROPHYSICS (I still don't get it why do we age slower when we travel to space and other planets?), GARDENING, BOTANY, ZOOLOGY AND HOW TO MAKE STUFF FROM WOOD!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will tell them that when I write to them, every person is special, so I can offer different things to each of my hosts.
But for sure a relaxed and open-minded surfer :)
Let's dumpsterdive together and cook some delicious warming food! Let's talk long into the night and make lasting memories while having fun out in the big wide world! Let's grow some plants together and dance around the fire :)
