About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world. Explore its secrets. Get culturally immersed!

ABOUT ME

Outgoing, open-minded, humorous, confident (circumstantial! :P), however not afraid to speak up when one should... bit of a clumsy clown at times but like to learn about and try new things. occasionally without thinking them through completely haha.

I guess some would call me quite the adrenaline junkie due to my activities, but hey i think there are quite a few sides to me. I can be serious and organised when i need to be, but also have that lazy side where i love to just chill with a beer or cider over a movie, as everyone needs there downtime. Sometimes my overly-inquisitive side comes out, which tends to get me into trouble in some extraordinary places hehe :)
...then i guess (in rgds to trouble again) my closest friends would mention my wild side, where i just like to go all out and have FUN, and just let loose, as, in this world, life is what you make it! and sadly, it is indeed very 'short'! money comes and goes but your experiences in life enrich you as a person and will last forever.

I generally get told i am a nice caring kind of guy, so i hope that speaks for something. I believe in helping those in need, where i can, in any given situation. Have tried to help out along my travels where i could in the little time i had in fact. Whether it was helping the locals put sandbags up in Ayutthaya (Thai) to keep the rising floods at bay, or trying to fix the motorbike at an orphanage in Siem Reap (Cambodia. where the kids were so thrilled to have a visitor, they were so inquisitive!).

I am now 9months in on my year long trip around the world, now invading the western worlds of Australia, NZ and LA! ....quite a culture (and price) shock so far, ....since getting into Darwin, as i have been in Bali for 5months, and Thailand about 2 and a half..... among other countries.
I love to meet new people and experience new things, maybe a bit too much sometimes ..haha! My friends back home and the ones i have travelled with would likely say i am a 'life is short' kinda guy, and to take every opportunity you get... also dont leave till tomorrow what you can do today!!

Have made hundreds of friends, fellow travelers of many nationalities but also many special locals in some of the countries, which i feel honored in calling 'friends', and i trust, and will keep in touch with them (hoping to return to those countries at some point, namely Thai, Laos and Bali).
I have met some incredible characters along my travels, and have unbelievable stories to tell! :)

PHILOSOPHY

life is short, some opportunities only come round once!

treat others as you would like them to treat you

life's too short for speed limits!

take a chance! ...you never know, it could be the most rewarding act youve ever done. worst case scenario is you still learn from the experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being saved by a 15year old thai boy in the mountains of Pai, only to then return that favour when he got stuck/submerged in the river in the next valley! ...we both breathed a big sigh of relief at the end of the night, ha! ...mind i was a bit silly in getting a tad lost and then getting low on petrol, hence trying to find someone amongst the rice paddies in pitch black was worrying, thank god he was passing by that part of the field!

Teach, Learn, Share

i can give advice on some of the countries and also computer help... hmm well im always willing to help in many other supportive ways, just dont hesitate to ask!

i would love to learn more of local languages i picked up, namely thai, indo, french, italian, spanish and maybe chinese.
