ABOUT ME

I am a recently discharged us navy sailor. After 4 years of service, I was given an honorable discharge and now currently live in portland.

I have a great interest in the culinary art, and hope to one day go on a food tour across the world. I am currently teaching myself Molecular Gastronomy or Food Physist... the unholy child of culinary and science.

Currently I am working as a illustrator and graphic designer for a video game company in portland. I also draw lots of manga and political cartoon.

I am laid back, easy-going, and just a generally cool guy. Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. Born in Vietnam, but raise in the states, and have my root in China... confused yet? lol.

PHILOSOPHY

To quote Mark Twain "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

I don't want to have my career and life laid out for me. I want to go out and explore on my own. And I want to spend my youth exploring, having fun, and doing what I always wanted to do... I do not want to spend the rest of my life regreting that I never done what I should've done

My whole family is involved in the culinary industry and I have a pretty good experience in cooking Chinese and Vietnamese foods. From seasoning to controling the Wok.

And I am also interested in sharing my knowledge of Molecular Gastronomy.
