One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After spending a month volunteering as an English teacher in rural Northern Thailand, I was saying my goodbyes and preparing to leave to move on to another city. One of the ladies who helped to serve and prepare the lunches at the school, and who didn't speak a word of English, took my hand and brought me behind the school to this small Buddha shrine where she then prayed for me. Probably one of the most touching moments of my life.
