About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as much as I can in life and meet people that share the same passion for travel as I do.

ABOUT ME

Okay, where to start! I think I might be addited to traveling. In the past year I've done alot of traveling throughout North America and SouthEast Asia. With some other trips to Australia, New Zealand and Jamaica. Calgary, Alberta, Canada is where I was born and raised, but currently I am living in Victoria for University.

I have a dipolma in Travel and Tourism and have been considering going to University to get an Eco-tourism Degree or something in Marketing or Communications. However, my dream is to work for an airline, most likely Westjet one of the two main Canadian airlines.

I've always been very drawn to Australia... I'm not sure what is it but I have been there twice so far. The last trip I went with my two girlfriends and we hired a camper van to drive up the East Coast. It was so much fun! I'd love to go back and do that again to hit up all the amazing music festivals in Australia!

I enjoy traveling alone, I find it easier to meet new people and make new friends this way, but also like traveling with others.
I love being outside! Most of my jobs in Calgary happen to be outside. I do alot of promotional jobs and am always doing something new, always with new and exicting people.

PHILOSOPHY

You can do anything you put your mind too. That's my thinking. So many people haven't believed in me in the past, but I continue to prove them wrong.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm living at home with my parents, so I can't offer my couch to anyone right now, they dpn't always approve of all my traveling... :P
As soon as I'm home and settled into my own place, I would be happy to have people come stay with me.
I'm looking to meet new people from all around the world, make connections, as I'm backpacking around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I was backpacking in Australia I stayed with a few different friends who had lived in Canada. This is pretty much my only couch surfering experience! Except I knew them pretty well before going there! I have stayed in alot of hostels in different countries, including Jamaica and Cambodia. (two of the best hostels I've ever stayed at!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm two or three moements that left me awestuck. Let me think...

Okay I got one. Railay, Krabi, Thailand. This is just such a beauitful place, I can't possibly describe it. It's a peninsula right off of Krabi. There are no roads, no police, no cars or motorcycles. Just ocean, guesthouses, and towering cliffs surrounding you. This is so far, my favorite place in the world. You have to take a long boat to get to Railay, it just adds to the experience, but the problem is the tide goes out soo far it's unbelievable. Something pretty cool to see. There are three beaches. West beach is the best place to watch sunset. This peaceful place also has a great nightlife for backpackers. The best fire spinning I have EVER seen was at Last bar. It was described by on lookers as Muai Thai not just fire spinning. I have many great stories about Railay but ask me when we meet! : )

When I was in Koh Phi Phi in April 2012, I was standing on the beach people drinking and dancing all around me and I just sat there on the beach looking up at the sky. The stars are so beauitful over the ocean, but what really got me was that I could see the Big Dipper and the Southern Cross in the same sky. This truly left me awestuck. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you could onlt see the Southern Cross in the Southern Hemisphere? Well, I must be wrong because I saw it in Thailand. : )

Number 3! Again, with the ocean and the stars. I was sailing in the Whitsunday's with my two girlfriends. Everyone had gone to sleep already and the three of us were just chatting and looking at the stars. Just being in the ocean on such a clear, calm night was so soothing. : )
