About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying life

ABOUT ME

I have at least two personalities: I'm a very organized and reliable person and I take a lot of things (like studying or working) very seriously. Yet I can be bubbly, cheerful and enthusiastic to partying or just having fun with friends as well as with new people.
I have problems to be spontaneous - and I gave up on this. I like myself the way I am, although if I realize that something in me should be changed - I'm changing it. I just don't think everybody needs to be spontaneous ;p
I have enough friends like that - they make my life really interesting and crazy ^^. But sometimes they need somebody, who cools them down. An here I am ;)

PHILOSOPHY

If you don't like something - change it. If you can't change it - change yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now I'm just a parasite, but I hope that when I come back to Cracow it will change ;)

However, what everybody reading my profile should know, I do NOT consider CS a good place for hook-up, match-making or anything like that. Just because I sometimes travel by myself doesn't mean that I'm alone nor lonely.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met a lot of amazing people - so nice, open-minded and helpful! I'm always so greatful that instead of going to an impersonal hostel I can enjoy warmth of a normal house :)

Unfortunatelly I've also become a victim of people taking advantage of CS. In PATTAYA (Thailand) there's an American guy, who creates fake profiles and as a "new person on CS" (in my case - a women, "fiancee" of mentioned guy - yet although there were her pictures, he was nowhere to be seen) invites people to stay at his place, promises to show around and to take you to see a free Thai boxing show. Of course once you get there, you have to pay for the tickets. I don't know, how does this story end, cause I didn't buy the tickets. I was supposed to wait till they (the "fiancee" was supposed to get tere later) finish watching, around 11pm. Nobody ever contacted me again, nobody picked up the phone. I left the negative reference, but the very next day the profile disappeared.
Please be careful while looking for a place to stay in Bangkok (officially this person offered a couch in Bangkok) and Pattaya!

Interests

I read a lot, watch movies, listen to music and do all those boring staff, everybody does ;)

What is unusual with me - that I have some strange ability to take part in so many activities (conferences, projects, associations, trips and so on), that sometimes I don't really have time for anything but sleeping. But it makes me feel great. A if I could expand 24 hours to at least 36 ^^

And what is my neverending love? Tea. I can't live without tea. Ask anybody. I need only a hot, vaporous cup and I can be the happiest person on the planet ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Whoa. That would be a lot... I've never had any favorite book or movie. I fell in love in so many and had my heart broken with "the end"... But I'll try.
Starting with books (well, I'm kind of a bookworm): I've just finished "The Phillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet, I'm also still under the spell of "Help" by Kathryn Stockett. Well, I shouldn't forget also about Jane Austen. Although I've read only "Pride and Prejudice" and "Sense and Sensible" - I want to read more.
I love comics - although a lot of people find it silly. Not only japanese mangas, but also euopean and american comic books. Check here, if you want:

Movies: "Pride and Prejudice" ofc (those photos! and music!), "Love and other disasters" (always makes me laugh), "He's just not that into you" (I know, I watch to many romantic comedies...), "Good Year" (I love Russel Crowe there. Or no. In "Gladiator" he was even better...). "Matrix", "Star Wars", "LORD OF THE RINGS" (that was maginificent. But how could I forget to add it in a book section...?!)
Well... do I really have to write more...?

Let's move to music: I love Regina Spektor (just watch it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wigqKfLWjvM and listen, ofc ^^), have a break from Adele (but I still admire her voice), enjoy "Of Monsters and Man" (I wonder how long this would take), always listen to Counting Crows...
It's too much to write, really...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to say, because I try to enjoy every moment of my life. But looking closely, the most amazing thing I've ever done was leaving my hometown for a high school in another city. It opened my eyes for an unexpectedly big world and I came to realize, that if I want something - by working really hard I can achieve it.
Walking 300 km in 13 days. Twice. Living and studying one semester in Berlin, another - in Townsville (Australia). Visiting Ayers Rock. Diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
It's getting better every month :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm quite a good cook - so I can make you a really tasty dinner :)

I can teach you polisch, if you want. Or some basic japaese (but really basic - I'm still just a beginner).

I can drink with you, dance (I've teach some of my friends how to dance - so I can share it too) and simply hang out. I can also just sit with you in silence.

And I love learning new things.
