About Me

PHILOSOPHY

T. E. Lawrence

Music, Movies, and Books

When I was younger I read a lot books of Jules Verne. Now my best writer is William Golding and his masterpiece Lord of the Flies. I am also interested in movies. The list is endless. The best are: Scarface (1983), Planet of the Apes (1968), The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957), Memories of Murder (2003), The Untouchables (1987), Stalingrad (1993) , In Dreams (1999), Once Upon A Time In America (1984), Heat (1995), Falling Down (1993) etc. The best movie of my homeland Poland is Baza ludzi umarlych (1958). My favorite directors are: Brian De Palma, Neil Jordan, Sam Peckinpah, Jack Arnold, Sergio Leone, Kim Ki-Duk, Park Chan-Wook. The best actors: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks and Catherine Deneuve. Now we turn to the music. Of course soundtracks - remind me movies which I already saw. The most popular is Hans Zimmer. I like to listen to Mike Oldfield. I also like classical music and some jazz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I lived in Spain I participated in the making of spanish film about the Second World War. The film set in the cold winter of 1943 Russian front and tells about crimes of soldiers of the Spanish Blue Division. My role was a German Wehrmacht officer. I was dressed as the true soldier of war. I love movies, I love history, especially World War II. Participation in this film was for me a tribute to my interests. It was a great honor and extraordinary adventure. I'll never forget it.
