About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Embrace adventure - live life as an artist - work for a more sustainable, just and compassionate world.
ABOUT ME
I'm a teacher by trade (of English, Drama, Religious studies) but really I'm an artist deep down...I love to paint and write and draw. My dream is to publish children's books and open a gallery where people can also come and create their own art to add to it. I've done a bit of travel, but love my home too. I try to always be open minded and learn from listening, talking to and debating with others. I often worry about the world and what to do to make it a better place, but hope and know we can get back down to earth and live a village life where communities help take care of one another and understand the land they're living in. That's one of the reasons I think couchsurfing is a wonderful thing!
PHILOSOPHY
Live simply so that others might simply live. Tread lightly. Everyone deserves your time. Forgive and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Thus far, just in couchsurfing community life meeting others and attending events. Yet to surf, yet to host, all in good time :)
Interests
I am an art and nature lover and adore savouring street art, hidden in curious places as well as the art found in little things along the way in new places, especially in nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Difficult, but, several jump to mind...
The moutain tops of Chamonix at L'Aiguille du Midi, breathtaking to be above the clouds and looking out at the mountains, totally sacred in fact, for me.
In a much less splendourous way, but equally beautiful in a quiet and unassuming way, was one day years ago driving home and stopping at a hill top just around the corner from my house, where a centuries old family cemetery is nestled in amongst the suburbs. I sat on my car bonnet and watched the sunset, in awe at the beauty on my back doorstep.
3. La Sagrada Familia, need I say more?
