ABOUT ME

Well... here is "some facts" about me and my country
ALL would be A LOT more.. =)))

I was born in Riga, Latvia, and mainly grew up there until I finished Academy and now my profession is designer. Designer of interior, web sites and advertising.

Last year, I lived and studied Photography in Israel.
Israel, a small country of outstanding beauty, is so many different interesting things and people. It is a bridge between Africa, Asia and Europe, It has pulsating urban life. But for me it not that country, where I want to live.

And now I live in Latvia, when live my family and friends. There is much beautiful places. You can explore the nature, lakes, sights, history, cities and other attractions in Latvia. For travelers, the best thing about Latvia is that it is so compact. Its 500 km of sandy beaches are easily reached from historical towns, where medieval hanseatic foundations support baroque and art nouveau buildings, that become venues for cultural festivals during the summer. With such a variety, Latvia is best enjoyed slowly =)))

My hobby is traveling, photography, dance, salsa. While I traveled mostly in Europe. But the plans include more exotic countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mainly CouchSurfing and meeting people in my hometown or in city where I live at moment.

I'm meeting a lot of brilliant hosts and CouchSurfers at time on my trips in different countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had done lot's of "unofficial" couchsurfing and hosting already before I came across this website... Visiting friends in many different parts of the and Europe and also hosted them in Latvia.

Last trip with CouchSurfing was to Jordan. It was unforgettable eight days of adventure. I'm grateful to meet Tatyana, who agreed to couch me and my boyfriend Daniel. And in Jordan she always traveled with us and introduced us to his friends. She's a great guide, who can interesting talks and knows all about Jordan.

So if you are thinking to visit Jordan, I highly recommend to use her guide services. You will't regret!

Also in Latvia, I met with the Natela and her son. They came from Sweden and I show them a small, but very beautiful and interesting places in Riga.

Interests

I like visiting new places and meet interesting people. I like make a photo of beautiful nature and urban life. I l prefer to relax in nature, sleep in tents and sail boats. I admire the mountains and waterfalls.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books diffirent. Some books Paulo Coelho. I don't have much free time, and the last few books I started reading I never read all till the end...bad bad bad, I know... :P
But I like watch good films and interesting fantastic serials. Generally I like romantic comedies, fantastic, action, and movies with good storylines and good messages, and dancing movies - Dirty dance, Avatar, Hatiko, The Holiday, Yes man...

Also I love "How I meet your mother" serial. It'll funny and interesting at all seasons time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Night in the desert in different countries of Asia. The most memorable was to look at the star-spangled night sky and listen to the silence. It feeling that time has stopped and it's amazing.

Swimming at night under the stars in a unique waterfall in Jordan. In Ma'in Hot Springs, which are located 264m below sea level in one of the most breathtaking desert oases in the world. You need to enjoy the mineral-rich waters of these hyper-thermal waterfalls. This water is heated to temperatures of up to 63 ° Celsius by underground lava fissures as it makes its way through the valley before emptying into the Zarqa River.

Personally shake Shimon Peres hand, prisident of Israel.

Attend the grand opening of a new show by Madonna. And hear live songs which grew up and now I listen to the radio.
