About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a writer, an explorer, a lover of travel and foreignness (is that a word?) and adventure.

I wrote a book which went to number one on amazon. You can see it and read the reviews here.

http://www.amazon.com/Sex-3-0-J-Roberts-ebook/dp/B006PU2DLI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

I am a discover, creator and an unconventional thinker.

I love scuba diving, kitesurfing, playing the guitar and above all meeting cool people all over the world.

Are you cool? Then maybe we can meet somewhere along the road.

CURRENT MISSION

We live in a world in which they framework in which we relate to each other in sexual relationships is fundamentally broken (which is why relationships don't work).

My mission is to fix it.

PHILOSOPHY

Paint YOUR life.

Not anyone else's life.

Yours.

Whenever you make a life choice about your job, career, sex life, friends, travel or anything else under pressure from other people, you are submitting to duress and you are not living your own life.

As Steve Jobs said - "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking."

Another quote I like which I saw recently :

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."
Muhammad Ali

Make sure every brush stroke on the canvas of your life is YOURS and nobody else is holding your wrist and making your brush strokes into theirs.

You only get one canvas after all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly socialising and occasionally surfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met lots of cool people.

Interests

Humour and the absurd, good comedy shows, beauty in all its forms, a good lounge bar, a well made mojito, football, good spicy noodle soups ...

And above all .... the truth

Music, Movies, and Books

Am reading "stranger in a strange land" right now.

I also wrote a book called "Sex 3.0 - A Sexual Revolution Manual" which I researched and wrote when I did a complete circumnavigation of the globe.

The circumnavigation of the globe took 2 years and 3 months and took in S.America, the USA, Australia, most of SE Asia, parts of the Indian subcontinent and Middle East as well as both Eastern and Western Europe.

A lot of the people I met and interviewed for research whilst travelling and writing the book were couch surfers so in many ways, Sex 3.0 is a splinter project from couch surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

* Travelling to the end of the world - Ushuaia, the southern most city in the world

* Had dinner in San Francisco with the founder of couch surfing

* Scuba diving in Indonesia, Egypt and the Caribbean

* Started the world's first open-source sexual revolution movement

* Learning to kitesurf in Dominican Republic

* Visiting the largest salt flats in the world in Bolivia

* Going to the largest marine archipelago in the entire world

* Tubing and partying on the mekong delta river in Cambodia

* Ankor Wat, Cambodia

* Borobodur, Indonesia at sunrise

* Taking a 3 day trek through the rain forest to see the largest waterfall in the world

* Partying on the Malecon in Havana

And many many more things ...

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I wrote a book about the entire history of human sexual relationships -past, present and future so I could teach you that.

Also how to play guitar, speak English or Spanish or how to make a good spaghetti carbonara.
