About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Showing off Indonesian Culture to others!

ABOUT ME

First of all, I believe there is no such thing as free lunch. I hate freeloaders and being one of them. I used to stay in hotel with my family ( a spoiled tourist eh?)
However, I happened to get the feeling where the uniformity of hotels produced such ennui in my trip. It's kinda same old same old, trite, banal, just name it.

Then one day, I stayed in my cousin's flat in Singapore. That's when I truly felt that UNLESS I stay with a local or (at least recently local people), the whole trip is futile.

I wanna get this old feeling again, where I could exchange information about Indonesian culture, food, snacks and some bric a brac. I want to tell them about Indonesian best food ever, TEMPE, or Bean cake. In return, I am eager to figure out about things, cultures, local market, etc from their city or country.

That's way better than just staying in a hotel, enjoying breakfast, following the itinerary of a tour and spending time merely visiting the icons which, personally speaking, do not represent the real culture of the country.

So, I am an enthusiastic, effervescent, gregarious person. My personality, together with the Indonesian exotic food and souvenir that I will carry to represent my country, I am confident enough I can elucidate people more about my country, and amuse you with my raconteur skill :D

PS: I still want to stay over in my cousin's flat, yet he got married n no couch left for me :(

PHILOSOPHY

I have been through ordeal and hardship in my life, which I wish I never have to go through again. But I learn one thing that it is only through trial, ordeal, tribulation that one shall grow stronger.

Life is active not passive, so it is, indeed, better
to give than to receive
to forgive than to be forgiven

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently a noob here. Guess until I learn something new, then I won't post anything in how I participate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never had one...... yet

Interests

People's lives.
I always find listening to stories from other people aid me greatly in facing difficulties.
New Culture.
There is nothing more exciting than indulging in a whole new culture and experience. Even when I can't go to new place, I sometimes still live vicariously through my friends' stories
Doing crazy things.
I only live once, so as long as I can still do something then I will do it. I don't want to live in regret.

Rich Dad Poor Dad, How To Win Friends and Influence People, How To Think Big, One Minute Manager,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done: I have been to new places, meeting new people, but the greatest of all is when I decided not to give up in my life and ,instead, chose to move on.

Seen: the Panoramic view from the mountainous area in Tretes, East Java when I was a 10 years old, but then the place was condemned for public use

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to play stocks and lost a fortune. But this lesson will never go wasted. I am now dedicating my rudimentary knowledge as in technical analysis, reading charts to help other people to learn how to invest their money. or at least, to invest their money and protect their wealth from the voracious inflation.
Afterall, never look a gift horse in the mouth.
