ABOUT ME

Hi there, Im Frank an optimistic and open-minded bikelane-buccaneer that decided to learn new things and travell the next period of time! Got a little bored in my hometown and since i believe you control your own life, im the one who have to change it.

Im an bikefreak working as an bikemessenger in Heerlen, Im a long time vegetarian, been vegan some years, constantly changing and discussing food matters And involved in the punk/squatting scene. Playing the bassguitar in the german/dutch punk band ''raffnix'' trying to learn piano accordeon since this summer(whaaaa thats hard!) and organizzing and visiting diy shows. I love to cook and teach people(vegan or non vegan)how easy it can be to find alternatives to traditional way of coocking/eating.

I live in a squat in Heerlen where you can stay in our big communal living room, but is also used during movie nights, we live togheter with an small but cosy group of young people and have an little working place and an silkscreen printing place and info corner. In winter time we sometimes have livingroom concerts(very tiny with an maximum of 20 people, but that is so cosy!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

a lot in citys in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, but not through couchsurfing. just to mouth to mouth advertisement ha! crashing after party's, actions,gatherings etc.

Since my trip to Berlin i met really nice peoplethrough couch surfing! and hosted a few in my house

Interests

music is very important for me. My roots are in the punk-scene but for the last few years i listen a lot other kind of music.

I like to scavenge the dumpsters in search for stuff people see as trash but can have a second life, my whole room is build up from found or given materials.(i try to upload foto's later!)I like to recycle these things and work with wood.

Since i (try to) play accordeon i dont do it that much but i used to juggle a lot last year, when i travell i bring my juggling balls so hope i can start juggling soon!

I quit smoking last year (yeah!) i have no problem with smoking though, i still got ashtrays on my kitchentable for guests...

further im interested in alternative living/communal living. eco alternatives and want to build positive social movements and destroy bad habbits ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: im very bad at watching movies on my own so i only watch them when i do a movienight at home, then i watch very serious documentaries or cartoons(long live ren and stimpy!)

Music: From punk i travelled to folk-rock-streetmusic-street-kleinkunst-cabaret-dark cabaret-steampunk-hiphop-electronik-old fashioned thingies-old-golden oldies WHOE! jazz-blues-acoustic riot core-clowncore-grind-crust-steam-klezmer bla bla the list is endless.
i like to share and exchange music!

books: lately im reading again, lots about theoretical and practical views on freedom,anarchy, human/animal rights,poetry and vegan coockbooks for new ideas.and of course fairytails!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting new people through travelling is great, whats even better is meeting those people again when they are travelling!!

love to exchange some coocking skills with other people, and of course i can learn you dutch, ha ! don't know where you want to learn that for.... I can juggle a little bit and can learn you how to get killed(with a grin on your face) in trafic on a bike! give some tips at quit smoking maybe?
