ABOUT ME
Pre-k teacher. I got a masters and 2 bachelors. Always looking for an adventure!

My fiance and I love hanging out with the couchsurfers. But sometimes life gets in the way of a good time and we get busy.

I wanna be able to say I have visited all 50 states!
I have been to 36 states!

I wanna visit every corner of the world! I have been to 29 countries!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we choose our own paths, we get options and we decide what might benefit us. I am always asking questions, I want to be able to understand everything around me. I also believe kids are the future and as an educator I need to do my best every single day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met my closest friends in Michigan through Couchsurfing, most of us now live in different states but still manage to meet and hang out! first experience was during 2nd annual Cleveland CouchCrash, met people from all over and we all had an awesome time!!... when visited Brazil I met more couchsurfers from different areas and also attended the Chicago CouchCrash. 2013. I also attended First Austin Couchcrash and it was great since my friends from Michigan flew in too! we had an awesome weekend meeting locals and people from different countries! First Couchcrash in my city Grand Rapids, MI was fun too, was a local this time and met mostly locals so it was interesting.

Interests

I love playing soccer, pets, I own two dogs (westies) so surfers have to be okay with them. I love my job, I love teaching in my native language which is Spanish. I love hanging out and having drinks on the weekends. I love adventure, to travel and to just keep myself busy. I play pool for a league.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pop, rock, alternative in Spanish and English.... maybe even other languages :P I like reading but since I am so busy with school I do not have time to read for pleasure. I love going to the movies, or simply sitting on my couch watching movies with my dogs. I like most movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have more than one! I went under the sea in a yellow submarine and went skydiving in Hawaii during spring break and handgliding in Rio de Janeiro. I drive from Michigan to Texas and back about twice a year (I love road trips) most recently went for a drive in the East coast which ended in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the way back to MI I drove thru Canada and visited the Niagara falls. All this with a guy from Germany I met in Brazil! Great experience! Also being kissed by a dolphin and a sea lion in the Bahamas :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share about my Mexican culture, my language and costumes. I am Mexican American but knowledgeable about the country that raised me for the most part. I also love pets and am pretty knowledgeable about certain creatures. I have played several sports growing up and can put up a game!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can give tips and advise about different countries, even my own. I can also share my adventures and some of my personal life. I will also share my house and way of life.
