About Me

I know this will sound totally cliche but I really love to travel. I find that being in a new place is thrilling because it's a perfect combination of something interesting, fresh, exciting, and also a tad scary. I think CouchSurfing is great because it's a way to explore a new terrain, but more as a visitor instead of as a tourist. I want to make friends in new places, learn about cultures other than my own, and scout regions unknown to me.

As for me personally... I'm one of the most positive people you will ever meet. Seriously. I don't look at the downside of life and I don't feel the need to. There's great stuff going on everywhere you look. To me the point of life is to be happy and have fun. I don't let things get to me and I don't deal with drama. There's no point to it. I can be shy at first, but the more I talk to someone the more I open up.

I enjoy soccer, playing guitar, board-games, reading, and hanging out with a fun group of friends. I was an actor for many years and was fortunate enough to have gone on tour in the United States. Now, I'm a paralegal at a law firm and slowly getting back into acting.

If you want to know me more just send me a message to say hi. My schedule can be crazy busy sometimes, but even if it takes me a couple days I will always get back to ya. :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is an adventure and I want to see and do as much as I can."

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined."

My second favorite quote I live by is "Be the change you want to see in the world."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm more interested in learning about new cultures then I am at being the average tourist. I'm really hoping CS will change both my life and the lives of others around me.

I'm also up for going to meetings in my area and chatting with new people who are visiting the Bay Area.

I've lived in the Bay Area for 4 years, and prior to that I lived in Chicago for 15 years. I'm always happy to show someone new around and maybe to take them to local spots that they wouldn't normally find on their own.

CS has totally changed my life. In 2011 I started going to more and more CS events in my area and because of that I was able to meet locals and awesome people from all over the world. I made friends from as far away places as Iran and South Africa. In 2012 I backpacked through Europe and I used CS as a way to connect with locals and it was great! I learned a lot about myself and about other cultures. CS has opened up so many new doors for me and is a really great thing that brings the world closer together as one large community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked through Europe for several months in 2012. It changed my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about other cultures and understand what life is like in a new place. Having traveled all over the United States I would like to teach others about where I'm from and what America has to offer to the world aside from the cliche. And finally I'd like to share my friendship and my experiences in life so far.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of laughs and good conversations. Also cleanliness, a warm smile, and a sense of wonder at how others look at the world around them.
