About Me

www.trustroots.org/profile/t0ma5

FEEL FREE to drop me a line anytime, even if it is just to say HELLO, we might cross paths one day (it happened already).

I have landed in Finland to study again after a 8 years trip across 75+ countries searching for "something", still totally clueless but very happy about where that long search took me!

I love bicycles!
I'm a complete cinema addict, my first trips were thanks to foreign films!
I appreciate details and people who pay attention to them!
Traveling has changed my entire life, the way I think, see the world and interact with people, the way I consume and my concept of time.
Wikipedia freak...
Portuguese and French are my favorite languages although I don't speak any of them :P
I like the Italian word "tutti" (means "everybody" but in Finnish means "dummy"), every time I hear it I think they are talking about some funny dude called Tutti.
I like off-topic/awkward comments and when someone gets lost in a conversation.
I love dark humor and politically incorrect jokes.

I am interested in alternative ways of living/consuming, dumpster diving, transition movements, De-growth, urban agriculture, renewable energy, consciousness (and speculations about it), ecology, environmentalism, serendipity, and hard translations.

PHILOSOPHY

Some quotes I like and try to have always present:

"Life isn't about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself" -Saw it in a shop in Helsinki Finland

One friend wrote me once: "Hope everything is going to come out just the way you wouldn't expect it, and that day will enrich you even more with their ever changing prospective" I also hope that :)

"We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring. Will be to arrive where we started. And know the place for the first time" -T.S. Eliot

"If we took the time to get to know each other, we would find out that we are more similar than we would like to admit"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have cooked for Wizards, Hobbits, Elfs and Orcs in New Zealand during the production of the "The Hobbit" trilogy.

I'm a character in a Romanian Book :)

I tried wrestling with my 160kg Dutch host in Krakow, Poland... intense experience!

I hitchhiked to the roof of Europe (71°1′8″ N) twice.

I have taken a little look at the underwater world in the Pacific and it was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would really like to learn more about Photography, French language and how to play any musical instrument..
I am a data base of random facts, always ready to share if u dare/are interested.
Maybe I could teach Spanish language (???) or maybe I should improve my Spanish? O.o...
