ABOUT ME

I grew up in Washington and went to school at Boston College. I studied psychology, focusing on cognitive processing and on how and why artists create! Music is a huge part of my life and I play pretty much whenever I can; its a great thing to do socially or by yourself.

Right now I live in Shanghai, China, working as a teacher and general mischief maker. I play music, eat good food, and try to meet as many people as I can. I am especially fond of places that are a little out of the way, but also love to find great views.

PHILOSOPHY

You can pretty much do whatever you'd like with life. There aren't really restrictions or rules besides those imposed by arbitrary decisions in circumstances or by old traditions somehow still maintained.. You are allowed to do anything. So, not to say that one should attempt to do it all, see it all, be it all -that is impossible- but really the things that make life satisfying should be kept in priority. Prudence and mindfullness still at the forefront, things can, in my opinion, be enjoyable and kept in flow.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in a house where we had a constant stream of people coming on and off our couch. It was great to be able to meet people from all over the world who held the same drive to travel and the same friendly spirit. I couched surfed a few time last summer and had a blast!

I can teach music pretty well if you are interested. I'm best at guitar but would be psyched to lend my hand at someone dabbling in bass, mandolin, banjo, keys, harmonica, etc. I can teach English or Latin if you're interested.

I would really like someone to help me work on my Chinese, although if anyone wants to practice basic Spanish that would be fun!
