About Me

I'm an English girl who moved to Norway in 2014. I discovered couchsurfing in 2012 and surfed my way around Norway and Scandinavia, meeting lots of lovely people but not "the one". I then went travelling in South America, and the first person I met in a tiny little Spanish school in South America was this Norwegian guy... Fast-forward a few years and he's my husband and we live in Oslo! Travelling and couchsurfing has made my life what it is.

I'm work as a biologist and research whales in Norway, and pollution in the environment. I love nature, being outdoors, meeting new people, travelling and exploring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've surfed in Scandinavia, South America and Europe and had some of my best travelling experiences. I love meeting new people, and those times I'm not travelling, I love to host in a sort of "reverse travelling".

Our next adventure is planned for June 2020 - we will go to the islands of the south pacific and sail in paradise,

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a random mixture of things, from folk to rock, classical to metal. Muse are one of my favourite bands, but I also love people like Frank Turner and The Beatles.

Reading is a thing I really enjoy, again from popular fiction (Jodi Picoult) to classics (I love Austen, Dickens, Tolkein, Atwood...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking from Durham (northern England) to Stuttgart in Germany in 28 hours, without spending a penny. Met some incredible, interesting people who made me realise that kindness and generosity is alive in the world!
