ABOUT ME

Joseph and Claire here! (We can only host during weekends)

We both love to travel, but even more than that, we love to meet people! Our ideal travel would be meeting and discovering the soul of a place - the local people, and the nooks, crannies and behind-the-scenes that make a place or culture what they truly are. We prefer to be more likely to be found in a local cafe than in an over crowded tourist spot - of course, a little look at a famous monument won't hurt, but we prefer to experience the people and culture behind that monument, first hand :)

Joseph loves the quantifiable side of things, while Claire gets into the soft side.

PHILOSOPHY

Claire thinks that decision and commitment are the only things that make a man, real. Descartes only got it half right. ;)

We're open to host couch surfers as well as being at the receiving end of it!

We're newbies, but we've hosted and had a wonderful time with one, and we're positive this will continue!

Intereses

We both love traveling, hiking & camping - if there's a great hike or camp that we hear of, we usually would put it in our to-go list. Eating & cooking is also pretty much on the top of our interest list too!(who doesnt!) Oh, we also LOVE cheese!

Claire dabbles a bit on amateur digital photography, especially landscapes. Joseph likes to know about everything.

Although we're not really party goer or nightlife people, we both don't mind to enjoy a drink or two shared with friends :)

Between the both of us, we probably would cover most interests in the spectrum!

Joseph likes biography and management books, and you'll very likely see him with newspaper on hand anywhere in the world, as long as he can read them!

Claire likes to read; fantasy novels like Lotr, WoT and Terry Prachett, serious ones like Hundred Years of Solitude, Unbearable Lightness of Being, but on the other hand, she also reads manga and comic books. Eclectic as she is, she likes pretty much any genre of music under the sun, depending on mood. Which wouldn't be surprising to know that she'll watch Black Hawk Down, American Beauty, Fight Club and Anastasia (the cartoon!) all in the same sitting :)
