About Me

CURRENT MISSION

under construction

ABOUT ME

I like eating and sleeping (especially when it's not allowed). Nowadays I try not to overthink and enjoy simple things like flowers, sun, good food, a nice cloud - I know it sounds pretty lame, but I'd like to loosen up a little.
I'd like to see places with rivers and lakes, green places, warm places, old towns. I like places with live music, markets, small pubs with unique atmosphere (and good wines and beers).
Although I'm a native Russian born in Hungary, I'm feeling cold all the time.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't have any, because I would change it every day. Still trying to find myself. However I deeply love traveling, even the shitty parts of it (sitting 20 hours on a bus). Or drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes at highway resting spots can be at least as unique experience as seeing historical sights etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm ready to offer a place in Budapest. And trying to surf as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

3 days in Belgium and another 3 in the Netherlands.
about 2 weeks hitchhiking in Turkey using CS as accomodation.
+ St. Petersburg and Minsk

Interests

reading, music, arts, history, literature, learning languages, traveling, doing useless things too (I mean everyone tries to say here what a productive and meaningful person he/she is but please.. who doesn't watch stupid series half drunk on workdays sometimes? we're all human)
sports somewhat, running, gym etc. (you wouldn't tell looking at me in winter, it's kind of a seasonal thing for me, I mostly do it in spring and summer)

Music, Movies, and Books

So many.

MOVIES: For example I like the films of Tarantino and Jensen. But I like so many films, it's just that I'm forgetting the titles all the time. But I remember for sure that I'm not into horror movies or cheap romantic or hollywood stuff. See Bela Tarr's Werckmeister Harmonies and/or Turin Horse and you'll get the idea of what I really like.
But I'm okay with one-time movies also.

BOOKS: As for books, I like Vonnegut's style, also Dostoevsky, Gogol, Nabokov, Camus - that was my official introduction 4 years ago. Now I forgot how to read instead I'm trying to write.

MUSIC: I can listen to _everything_, really. Even hardcore arabesque (if you hitchike with Turkish truck drivers you either get to like it or die from it in 6 hours). Or there is lame Russian pop music. It's so bad that it kinda becomes good after a while.
But my choosen music usually depends on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I won a clapping competition. I clapped the loudest and got and ugly baseball cap.
I also won a drinking competition (not that kind, it was only juice) and I got a plate of chocolate.
Poured water on innocent pedestrians from a balcony of Kiev.
Went to the Black Sea for 1 week and threw little jellyfishes from the water to the shore.
Lived in Moscow for 4 months. A life-time experience for sure.
I tried to climb the Elbrus in Sept 2015. Another life-time experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can knit and play the guitar and piano. Maybe I can teach you some Russian or Hungarian. Also I can drink pretty much, if that's your thing (but if not, I'm not insisting of course).

I'm open to learn any recipes from the world, and also card games and maybe board games.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
