About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world dance to the beat of my drum machime, lol. I love nothing more than to see thousands of people grooving to the beats I am pounding the dance floor with.

ABOUT ME

Wow, where to start? I have been a Dj since 1991. I always spent a lot of time drawing and painting so getting into doing tattooing was a natural step for me. My music and Tattoo machines have taken me all over the place. I'm quite laid back and very easy-going. I guess I have always been one of those people who start to go crazy if they are stuck in one place too long. Fortunately being a tattoo artist and Dj usually leaves me in a good position to take care of myself wherever I go. I hope it continues to do so.

PHILOSOPHY

Life isn't measured my the amount of breath's you take but by the amount of times your breath is taken away. I hope to leave this world without any regrets or reservations. I try to keep a karmic balance in mind with regard to everything I do. To quote the great sages, Led Zepplin, there are two paths, you can go back but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on. Doesn't that just say it all?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to share great experiences with people from all over the world, getting to experience different cultures and making friends that I hope will last the rest of our lives. My home is out in cow and horse country in central Florida. When home I live in a family horse farm and when home I would be happy to offer any of a number of couches or maybe even a bed (depending on who happens to be home at the time, we have a big family) although considering how far I live from anything interesting I'm not sure why anyone would choose to visit Saint Cloud, well maybe if you want to do the Disney/Universal Studio's/Sea World thing, they aren't that far. Other than that there is just lots of cow and horse pastures and orange groves.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed many a couch over the years, in their own way I enjoyed them all. Well all but the one time I crashed on the couch of a new friend in New Orleans who apparently loaned me his dog's bed for the night. I woke up with 3 dogs on the couch with me and looking like I had chicken pox from all the flea bites, that was the itchiest morning of my life, lol.

Interests

I love music of all kinds. My taste runs toward the eclectic, I am as happy listening to Chopin as I am listening to System Of A Down. The music I spin is much the same, I hate the thought of being stuck to one genre. History will always be a favorite subject for discussion. I love getting and giving tattoo's, yes they hurt but it is worth every minute of it. I enjoy swimming, scuba diving, surfing or just hanging around the pool or at the beach. I love horseback riding, but considering where my home is, I guess that is a gimmie. I'm also a really good cook and love seeing people enjoy a meal I cooked, but I hate doing dishes. I think that was my excuse for learning to cook well, the cook should never have to do the dishes after diner is served, lol. However I do believe in keeping my work area clean, so I do wash my pots and pans as I finish with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lol, do you have a few years? Movies, I love Japanese horror movies, they are so much better than the American variety. Japanese film makers have a much different view on all things supernatural. Overall I love movies of all kind with the only exception being sappy love stories, yawn. Music, I like a lot of different music, only kind I really can't get into is Opera. I am and have always been a veracious reader, so I could be here days by starting a list. I did just finish the latest book in the Game of thrones series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things I've seen or done, wow where to start with that one.......? I Dj'd the main room at Limelight, NYC, I climbed Mount Fuju and ate fugu ( will not repeat the fugu, Fuji, Maybe) Visited a suicide Forrest. Jumped out of a few perfectly good airplanes. Swam in 4 oceans and two sea's. Visited where my family has lived since 1117 ad, Sicily. I drank cobra blood (not recommended, I puked for an hour) Visited the graves of some of my favorite historic people. Climbed the wall into Saint Louis Cemetery #1 tp put three X's on Marie Laveau's grave, even though i had no wish. Spent the night in Orleans Parrish Prison two days later for, get this, "Leaning with the intent to fall", you can't make this s*it up! Man, I am realizing i can quickly turn this into a novel, lol I have only scraped the surface. Perhaps it might prove fuel for conversation later, for now i think this is quite enough, lmao!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to teach or learn from anyone. I can't teach someone the skills to be an artist, you are either born with that or you are not, if they are I can teach them to work the tattoo equipment and help them to understand the difference between drawing on paper and drawing under the skin. Much the same can be said about being a Dj, I can teach someone to work the equipment, but reading a crowd, feeling the beats and developing your timing is something that comes from within.
With regard to traveling, my main advise is listen to your gut. Sketchy people feel sketchy for a reason, it's better to trust your instincts rather than find yourself in a bad situation. That said, nothing ventured nothing gained. I have trucked through some really sketchy neighborhoods to get to some crash spots that once i arrived i was sure i would end up in some kind of stewpot (lol) and it turned out to be the coolest, kindest brothers and sisters offering a spot to crash in their love filed home for which i remain grateful for so long as my soul returns to this plane of existence, even if i don't remember it, i will always remember them. Take chances, but do so cautiously and always have a back up plan, i can't stress that enough, ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP PLAN! If it can go wrong, it probably will. It's how you react to this ever varying cacophony of changes that is life that defines you, not the other way around. May the Buddha always smile on you and may you never land on a couch full of fleas, lol.
