About Me

ABOUT ME

I would define myself as a sociable, curious and open-minded person. I always like to discover new things, new cultures.

I started to travel few years ago and I went to like it. One of my trip specially impressed me : Kenya changed my life and shaked many of my ideas. This experience and the following ones grew and structured my project to leave France. In this way, I left with no plan but not to come back. Events of life made me stay in Chile, while I did not speak its language and didn't know anything about the country, and I discovered them. I am living in Santiago, but as much as possible I go out to discover other parts. This experience to start from scratch in an other place is huge, very enriching, intense.

Well, I am completing my profile. Now I speak good Spanish after 5 years living in Chile and to be honest my Spanish got much better my English. I was lucky meeting during one of my travels inside Chile my boyfriend, Cristián. We both decided to let our daily routine life with work and stress in Santiago. We have been traveling for more than 3 months in Argentina, Uruguay and now in Brazil. We don't know how long we gonna travel for, we just want to live some new experiences and let see where life will bring us. We are used to do some volunteering, camping and staying in some friends' places.

I have a speciality which is the "apéritif" o "apéro" : cook good little gifts to be pecked by drinking a good wine or another drink while discussing and by listening to some music. The "apéro" is a friendly, familial and warmfull while.

PHILOSOPHY

Open your mind to be able to meet some people different from you and to discover other cultures.
Always respect uses and cultures of the country which welcomes you.
Each person and place will bring you something special which has a meaning in your life in the moment.

So let you surprise!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always travel with my backpack. When have no other option, I go to an hostal, but I definitely prefer to stay at people who live in the place where I travel. Obviously Cristián shares the same taste. We find much more interesting to be able to get known a place from the local people's point of view.

I share the idea to host someone just because you like it and discover new people and new culture.

When we are in our house, our door is always opened to host some friends, friends of friends, etc. We share this feeling with many people we meet and sometimes we use couchsurfing, other times not so much.

Interests

I'm a very curious girl and I like to share my experiences with other people. I love to listen some music from the crazy rock of the 60s to the trance experience, via the salsa music (which I dance!), raggae, drum'n'bass and techno.

I like to mix visits and parties during my trips cause I need to do many different things! I like the photography, specially during my travels cause I can take my time and so appreciate places.

Cristián and I love connecting ourselves with the nature and spend some time in the middle of nowhere. We are used to play some music (we travel with a melodica and a "matofono"- mate'seed which sounds like a trumpet). We enjoy a lot sharing around a fire and cooking tasty foods with what we find.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musics : a lot of types : raggae, rock, drum'n'bass, (progressive) trance, techno, disco, cumbia, plena,... Each music which gives us shivers and makes me travel!

About books, I always bring with me a books in my travels.
Cristián is very passionated about football and has an awesome knowledge about this sport which impersonates me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was travelling in Turkey, I met a Turkish girl in the bus. It was awesome because we couldn't really talk together because I didn't speak in Turkish and she didn't speak in French and in English, except just few words. But I could feel, she was very curious to share some words with me! So, we could communicate just with these few words, and finally we talked together during few hours : she gave to me all the English words she knew, and I translated them into French and the she did the same into Turkish.
So, even with just few words, you can share an amazing time with someone else!

About us, we lived a lot during this travel. But how we met was very special. I was in Chile since only 3 weeks and didn't speak Spanish...less Chilean! We were neighbors in a camping. He was travelling with a friend, I was on my own. We directly connected the three and spent the all week together just playing music, talking with the hands and few English words to communicate together. We spent an unbelievable week in the Atacama desert. We were friends during 4 years and half and the last years life changed our friendship into love. I already had the plan to travel this year and let it know to Cristián. Now we're traveling together and are friends, partners, couple.
If we meet you, we can tell you a lot about much more stories we lived during these last months ;)
