About Me

What can I say, I love to travel. But I guess everybody does.

Interests

Keep it short and to the point, exercising and doing sports is a hugely important part of my life, so is travelling. At the same time I do enjoy a day, or rather weeks, spent in the library cracking up on a dificult text, or writing papers for Uni.

In addition there are few things more enjoyable than sitting in a streetside cafe, watching people pass by, birds flying about and sharing a cold beer or a good wine with an old mate, or a recently met stranger.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to books, there are simply too many to list, especially in the social sciences department. But instead of boring you to death with unrelatable specifics I'm going to drop three big names:
-Hemmingway
-Kafka
-Gabriel García Marquez

When it comes to music I definetly feel at home with Reggae, Funk and Old School Rap; However recently I've come to enjoy Techno and Electronic music, while going out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the end of April in 2014 I did a 4 day trip into the colombian paramo south of Manizales, through the Parque de los Nevados. Starting from the Valle del Cocora hiking up to the Laguna del Cristal and climbing the Tolima glacier. It was incredibly clouded, cold and windy. I had soroche, could hardly talk, walk, think, or move. Every step was a challenge. Unfortunately we didn't make it all the way up. But up there, I had a borderline experience. For the first time in my life I had absolutely reached my limit. I simply could not go on. Nevertheless we reached about 5100 Meters, enjoyed the very limited view and started the descend. At sun fall, after about 18 hours of walking, we finally reached los termales del cañon. Forgetting everything we just got rid of our clothes and enjoyed the hot and sprinkling water at above 4000 Meters altitude. This was my amazing experience.
