My name is Ángela, I'm from Colombia, I like reading, writing and spend time with my family and friends. I am a musician, I play the oboe and got my Master's degree in Music performance at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, where I lived for 5 wonderful years and had the chance to work as a freelancer musician. I recently moved to Zürich to study another MA at ZHdK.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love classical music, my favourite composers are Bach, Ravel, Debussy, Schubert, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Bartók, Kodály, Beethoven, Philipp Glass, Erik Satie... the list would never end!
But of course I listen to other kinds of music as well, I really do like The Beatles, The Animals, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, The Doors, Coldplay, Queen, Regina Spektor, R.E.M, Soda Stereo,La Ley... I also like jazz, latin music... anyway, the list is long too.

My favourite writers are Héctor Abad, Ángela Becerra, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Lygia Bojunga, W. Shakespeare, Ernesto Sábato, Sándor Márai, Gabriel García Márquez.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving my country and the people I love the most in order to come to Europe to study classical music, specifically in Hungary with its beautiful but crazy language :)

Backpacking in Poland for four days with my boyfriend in order to attend Paul McCartney's concert in Warsaw. One of the best nights ever!!!!

I am not the best chef around the planet but if you are interested in preparing Colombian food, I can help you out.
I want to learn German!
