ABOUT ME

We are Miriam (26) and Niklas (28). We have been married about 4 years and love the life we ​​now may live together. We are happy to host and even like it, for others to be there - to talk about anything to laugh along or just listen. Our hobbies are cooking and especially music. We love trying new recipes and learn about new foods. Niklas plays violin and guitar and Miriam plays the piano - we often just make music together or play together with others who also have a musical instrument here. So we live with heart and soul and try to enjoy every day. By profession, we are both teachers: Niklas for primary school, secondary school for Miriam. So we come to know well in our studies and come to love ... it is quite normal that we would even like to learn something new but always happy to teach something to others and give what we have learned. So we are two people who go through life with open eyes and want to feel the life.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe in God and are thankful that we are still healthy and may live this life. Every day for us is as a new gift, we may unpack. God is with us and so we go forward in confidence. We live our life now - because time is limited.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our big dream was always to make a trip around the world. And 2012 that exactly became true. We met lots of new lovely people. We learned how they live, how they think, how they make music. And CS in this sense was and is just perfect! We are just curious about the people whom we will meet in the future and are curious about the worldtravellers comming now to our place - it will be wonderful. We're really looking forward to it - and to YOU!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first four days in New Zealand we surfed the couch of an crazy nice old man in Christchurch. But we were not alone: Six (!) more couchsurfers stayed there for the same time in the same small house with us: It wasn't a hostel - it was couchsurfing indeed! It was an absolutely great experience. The travellers came from all over the world and we had international mixed food-compilations and meals in the evening every day! Wow - we will never forget that.

Interests

Interests of Miriam and Niklas: spontanious trips to towns and into the nature, musics (playing guitar, violin, piano, singing), cooking, swimming, travelling, reading, meeting (new) friends, making new experiences

We love the music from Norah Jones and Damien Rice. Our favorite german musician is Xavier Naidoo.

We love to read romans and thriller from Charlotte Link, Simon Beckett and Henning Mankell.
