ABOUT ME

Profile 3.0:
After 32 years I am still figuring it out, little by little. Join me and we can figure something out together, I find that is best. I love getting to know people beyond the point of "having met", I love understanding things beyond the point of having a notion of them and I explode into fragments of shimmering enthusiasm when given the opportunity to share a moment of true connection with ... well in one of the possible cases... with you.
I think I am pretty open, and can be a little on the edgy side of things, as when I DO party, then I like to party HARD. I have been on sabbatical for awhile from partying, so there is some catching up to do, I guess.
I am also the kind of guy your mother used to warn you about. She was right. And if she didn´t, well, she probably should have.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it is actually quite hard to find a "personal" philosophy in an age of mass-culture.
After all Philosophía is the love of wisdom, which in turn is intrinsically tied to the love and search of Truth. Which in turn is Universal and has nothing "personal" to it, except perhaps in the personality of the creator.
I guess I am still looking, and have recently become a lot more patient and forgiving with myself and others. I enjoy discussing Ideas, and tend to study ancient scriptures and ancient history in search of wisdom. Also our bodies can tell us a lot about where we go wrong. In the end I guess it is LOVE {-_-}

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Sophie Scholl, die letzten Tage
Most movies by Frank Capra (Mr. Smith goes to Washington, 12 angry men, It's a beautiful life etc.)
Used to be very into "Weirdness" as in David Lynch and consorts. Not so much any more though. Still enjoy an old Cohen Brothers flick, like "Barton Fink".
And I definitely like mixed martial arts movies.

Music:
I used to listen only to classical music, and am a somewhat trained tenor myself, but I was to some extent fanatical and would deny any other form of music. More recently I have been back to classic raggae, like IJAHMAN, and also much brasilian music, and also some stuff like Trespassers William, Mazzy Star (Used to love them to death), Nightmares on Wax, Lali Puna (used to go to school with Valerie in Lisbon), The Notwist and such
I enjoy progressive electronic dance music, as well as Chill-Out, if it is creative...currently I am totally onto Ministry of Sound stuff
Since the Fusion Festival last year (2009) I am really back on my old Goa Trance/Darkpsy vibe: "170 BPM... it's craaaaaazy!"

Literature:
Well, Shakesspeare still tops the list,
Friedrich Schiller,
Washington Irving,
Edgar Allan Poe,
"To kill a mockingbird" by Harper Lee,
in general, I like thoughtful literature that expresses at least a minimum of universality. A lot of the really contemporary stuff I tend to dislike for its flatness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Held a newborn baby.
Cachoeira da Fumaca, Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brasil
Five Day IpyPoty Full Moon Rave @ Ubatuba, Rio, Brasil
Tandemjump from a plane
Flight lessons for the Delta Wing (Drachen)
Seen a life saved in front of my eyes by first aid
Fell in love once for real. Still trying to figure that one out.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can explain in detail why and how the current financial system, and if we don't stop it, worldwide european civilisation is crashing. But you will have to listen. You might not like it. It might hurt. Because its us. Its our future and its on the line.

I can also just show you around Berlin a bit and pretend nothing is going on, if you prefer. Or we can go out dancing all night in a stream of light and come crashing down in the morning or afternoon of the following day, happy and exhausted, Berlin does that...
