I am a PhD student researching how to cut cake at the University of Victoria. I speak Japanese, Mandarin, and English fluently.
I enjoy reading (mostly Japanese novels), finding new places to eat and drink, cycling, and going to the gym.

I'm on Couchsurfing in order to meet locals to gain a deeper insight into the places that I visit when travelling, and also to pay forward the kindness that I've received from many people over the years.

I like Japanese literature, particularly mystery such as Minato Kanae. I also really enjoy surrealist authors such as Italo Calvino. These days I'm mostly reading Japanese light novels. I'm also a big fan of anime movies.
