About Me

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am a friendly musician hailing from Montreal. I'm a relatively laid back and quiet person, but I love meeting new people, and trying new things.

PHILOSOPHY

Big question! I think I try to live my life with as much compassion and understanding as I can muster. Oh, and I try to listen to people as much as I can. You can learn so much from listening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm pretty new to CS! I have been housing touring musicians for a while (off CS), and I often find myself needing a place to stay when I am on tour as well. I haven't hosted anyone via CS yet, but I look forward to giving it a shot when I am home in the fall.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been great so far! I am grateful for the couches that have come my way, and I've met some really sweet people.

Interests

I play a LOT of music, mostly banjo, guitar, and I sing. I also like crafting and knitting and when I have the chance, I love outdoor adventures, especially hiking and canoeing. I also try to give back to my community when I can. I currently volunteer at a clinic for migrants who don't have health insurance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of things to list, here are a few:
Music: I am big into folk music (most recently Abigail Washburn, and The Kossoy Sisters), but will listen to almost anything.
Movies: I'll have to think about this one. It's been a while since I've watched anything really!
Books: I don't read as often as I would like, but I've been really inspired by The Hours, Angels in America, A Fine Balance, most things by John Irving...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of years ago I walked the Camino de Santiago, starting in St. Jean Pied de Port, approximately 800km from Santiago. We walked the entire way, over 30 days. The whole trip was amazing, but I think the most incredible part for me was hiking over the Pyranees.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would be very happy to teach beginner guitar or banjo or voice lessons. Also, beginner French, or any level of English. Beginner level knitting too!

I am also very happy to serenade people, knit people various accessories, lend you a listening ear.
