ABOUT ME

I am Mika, youngest child of eight. Born in Norilsk Sibiria, raised in Germany. Currently living in San Francisco.

I love the culture mix in my family, my mum speaking Russian to me while I'm answering her in German. I love to eat with my boyfriends family who are from Vietnam, taking pictures when people don't notice, day dream whenever possible and writing journal. I like to try everything before I decide whether I like it or not. I love empty or very crowded places so I can sing out loud without bothering anyone. I believe that traveling is one of the most important things in (my) life.

PHILOSOPHY

Actions speak louder than words. Some say I laugh like a monkey. Well I think I'll continue doing that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First couchsurfing experience in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Madrid! Followed by Copenhagen, Munich and Singapore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my time in Sibiria I was doing a photoproject.
On the last day I decided to climb on a very slanted roof to take a picture of the entire village even though I fear heights.

I'm a good cooker, can teach you to make a kazakh dinner like "Tschebureki", talk with you about photography, share my daily life experience with different cultures and talk about philosophy, art, music, dreams and life expectations.
