ABOUT ME

I love to practice yoga, hike, climb, run, kayak, canoe, and cross country ski.

I have spent the last 19 years of my life being a student (in the formal sense) and I'm looking forward to spending a few months this summer learning from the world, rather than in a classroom.

My favorite activities: sipping a glass of wine, spending cold winter days outside, drinking hot cocoa, taking pictures, swapping stories.

PHILOSOPHY

My father always taught me to "Do it once, do it right."

While he was referring to cleaning the bath tub, I think the same principle applies to life as a whole. We only get one shot at this parade. Let's make it count!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, yet!

I've been accepted into a work-for-trade program (through workaway.info) for May 6-June 6. It's near Kingston, Ontario and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I have plans to spice up my drive there (a half marathon in Toronto, among a few other activities) and a planned finale (another half marathon in Milwaukee) for June 15th. I'm looking for some awesome opportunities June 10-14 between Ottawa and Milwaukee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a frequenter of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (between the US and Canada above Minnesota). I absolutely love watching the sun rise above a completely calm lake.

English! I'm a native speaker.

American Sign Language. I took 4 years of ASL in college. I can hold a conversation.

Yoga. I taught children's yoga for a year here and would love to continue teaching.
