About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Back home in Oakland, just building my network in this amazingly creative town.

ABOUT ME

I'm 26 and living it up as best I can. I am a nurse by profession, musician by passion. I'll eventually make music and the outdoors my life, but it's nice to take care of people, too. I play trumpet, bass, and I DJ amongst other musical endeavors. Electronic music consumes most of my listening time these days. I've been in the SF/Oakland area over 2 years now. I got into nursing largely because I would like not only to travel, but to live in many different areas of the world. At this stage in my life I feel I have more focus/determination/ability than ever before to create the life that I want. So, that being said. I look forward to sharing and experiencing.

PHILOSOPHY

Unfortunately, this might be our only chance at life, so I want to make the most of it. I want to taste, love, learn, experience, challenge, conquer, share. I never want to look back at my past and wish I did more. I believe in balance, that there is some force at play, and that reality is far more wild (and I like to keep it this way) than anything we can imagine. I believe in magic and ghosts. Philosophy? That the best thing for me right now is to chase my desires until I find my way. Beyond that, I'm down to talk it out. Dance with Abandon and Laugh without Fear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a couple surfers thus far and both were great experiences. I also surfed for a couple weeks while looking for places around Oakland, CA.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a surfer in the midst of his bike tour to Wisconsin. We BBQ'd and I got the idea to hit up FroYo in town. We raced there and just made it as the door was being lost. Lame in type, but I guess you just had to be there.
Multiple since then.

Interests

Music, the city and the wilderness is all I would ever need. I love visiting the city and experiencing great music, and pretty much any other intriguing art. Mountain biking is my jam. If you have one, bring it!

Music, Movies, and Books

"Confessions of an economic hitman". The Lord of the Rings is my favorite ever. Indiana Jones is the man. RIP Hunter S. Daniel Quinne's The Story of B. Jack Kerouc's On the Road. Howard Zinn's A People's History. Emerson On Man and God. Paul Cuelo's Alchemist

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1/5/12
DOUBLE RAINBOWWWWWW!!!!! Actually no, but I saw a sunset once from my parents' back yard and the clouds were so firey orange that I had to stop and wonder in awe, just absorb it.
2/15/12
To add to this, just got back from a west coast trip. Panther Rock Beach was my far the most surreal sunset I've seen to date.
6/8/12
To add to this, just saw an almost double rainbow from my back yard. Epic none the less.
7/11/12
Just road tripped out to Oakland with my right hand man. He flew back, I'm here to stay. Unbelievable trip that I'd love to share in person.
6/02/14 Alright, since the last update. I bought a motorcycle and rode it down to Peru from SF. Hung out in the Amazon, backpacked around Peru, then rode my bike across the US to complete the last leg home to Cali.
I went to Iceland for 10 days, epic. I went to Burning Man, life reaffirming. Now I'm exploring all the Bay has to offer. It's endless.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll show you around. We'll hit the club, check out some parks, and jam.
