About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as many things as I can and to have as much fun as possible while making lasting connections.

ABOUT ME

I have been living in Spain the last 5 months to learn Spanish. Check out my blog about it: saratheaupaira.wordpress.com. I am a recent college graduate, a vegan, and am very interested in growing and learning. My most recent travels were part of a 10-week backpacking trip in Europe; Couchsurfing was an incredible part of this trip and I'm anxiously awaiting a time when I will be able to host travelers as well.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in, above all else, being kind to others. I believe compassion is one of the best traits a person can have. I also strive to learn as much as I can and grow by doing things that make me a little bit uncomfortable (in the right way).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I went on a 77-day backpacking trip in Europe and stayed with many lovely hosts. I'd love to meet new friends through couchsurfing and to be a host once I have my own place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with a handful of hosts but unfortunately haven't been able to host anybody .

Interests

I'm interested in LGBT issues, reading, animal rights, and of course, traveling. I love to learn and be challenged. I'm interested in psychology and feminism. I'm trying to learn French and beginning Spanish. I'm also interested in social justice of all kinds.

-The Unbearable Lightness of Being
-Harry Potter
-The Life Before Her Eyes
-anything by Dorothy Allison

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was newly 18 I went to Paris by myself for three days and then met up with a group from my school. I'd been saving for that trip since I was 7 years old. I felt very accomplished for finally meeting a long-term goal and Paris was beautiful.

Paragliding in Interlaken, Switzerland.

Moving to Spain to learn Spanish.
