About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm a guy from Barcelona that moved quite recently to Antibes, in the south of France. I studied computer engineering in Barcelona and I started working there, but I decided to come here to do the Final Thesis. I loved a lot the experience so I decided to stay here and currently I'm working in Sophia Antipolis (close to Antibes) for Amadeus.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy as much as I can my time. When I travel I like to be the first one to wake up and the last one to go to bed. I wouldn't like to get older regretting what I didn't do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have already participated in some surfing activities but I would like to get more involved hosting people or being hosted. I will start soon!

Interests

I love taking photos during my spare time. Normally, I'm a photo traveler but I always have my camera ready to take a picture.
I have traveled basically around Europe and now I would like to visit another continents.

I also like doing sport. I used to go for running when I was in Barcelona and I'm trying to keep doing it here in Antibes. Moreover, since I'm in France, I started playing squash and I am playing football again.

Recently I started dancing salsa and bachata and I like them a lot. Now I'm trying to practice more often to survive in the dancefloor without stepping and hitting around (sorry girls) :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most difficult thing and the one I'm proud of the most is to live abroad. When I took the decission of working in France I was very scared. I came here just knowing one friend (now I can say that I have a lot) and I didn't know the language, the way of life, etc. After one year and some months I can say that now I feel that I'm at home. I don't know how many years I will stay here. Once you go abroad you are not scared anymore, you can live your life without fixing dates and without caring were you are going to be tomorrow. Every place you go will be your home.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I like photography, I am always trying to find the most beautiful and rare places to take a photo. This way I am able to show to people what they can visit/see, what's not in the travel guides. When I am in a place I like to know every single place and to meet as many people as I can. I like to learn from the stories of the people so I'm always open to learn. I'm very interested in learning languages. For me the communication is basic to meet new people, it gives you the possibility of speaking to everyone. Currently I'm focused in learning French but I'm always open to learn another languages.
