About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I was made for living...so I'm trying hard to make the best of the time I have on this beautiful planet!

ABOUT ME

You have a cool idea? Tell me, I'll come with you!
I love going to a country and have contact with locals...I want to explore the place I am, not just visit it. That's why I love talking about culture, history, "linguistical peculiarities" (if that even makes sense), nature, travel experiences, and many more things
I like doing sports such as bike tours, trekking, handball and rock climbing. but just as much as sports I also like to set my soul free or having a good conversation with interesting people (I've maybe just met)...and there has to be music.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be...not to have (if anyone knows Erich Fromm) and to enjoy the time wherever I am. That sometimes means that I am terrible on social media...but, honestly, I mostly don't really care so much about that :)
Getting to know other cultures and people from there makes me think about myself and my situation and I feel like growing from this process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host whenever it's possible. CS, for me, is a huge community of amazing open-minded travelers...and I would love to get to know some of them as well as their stories and experiences. Also, everybody thinks, Switzerland is really expensive, so there are not many backpackers coming here. I'd like to convince them that you can have a great time in Switzerland without spending so much.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed couches in most of the places I went to.
When living in Rome I met CSers at the CS meetings and showed travellers around in the City. That was how I was introduced to the community.
I am also open to host. Actually, I hosted a lot of friends from other countries in Switzerland (Brasil, Mexico, Colombia, Hungary, Czeck Republik, Poland, Turkey, Spain, South Korea, etc.), but not many of them through couchsurfing, so they don't appear here.

Interests

Handball, Rock Climbing, Hiking, Biking, Sailing, barbecues, skiing and snowboarding, discuss, listen, languages, music, dance, read, explore new places and cultures, sit together with a glass of wine or a beer, camping, being spontaneous, go for a swim,ecc...I'm also up to things I've never done before.
and of course: travelling!

  • salsa dancing
  • wine
  • hiking
  • camping
  • sailing
  • skiing
  • rock climbing
  • handball
  • languages
  • biking
  • cycle touring

Music, Movies, and Books

I like italian comedy: Roberto Benigni as well as the newer ones (Benvenuti al Sud,...). Of course I also watch some series. But normally I'm not just in front of the television.
I love reading...philosophy or geopolitics for example or other things I have to use my brain while doing it. But I read novels, too...in foreign languages, normally, to not forget them.
I also love music, prefering Rock, Funk, things like Jovanotti (his old style!) and latin music. Favorite band, still: Red Hot Chili Peppers...plus anything with Chris Cornell!
And I love to get to know more amazing music every day! Not closed minded at all, when it comes to that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm always deeply impressed by the hospitality of people when I'm travelling around. So every step I do when travelling is amazing in one or another way. That doesn't mean that everything is always great...but the great days clearly predominate.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope I can grow in my personality getting to know a lot of artists of life and having great discussions with them. I read a book of Erich Fromm (to have or to be?) and I try to be conscious now how I live and how I act on others, because I want to make people happy who are with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you stay with me, please try to be a bit talkative....because only that way, we can really share things and experiences. I would share almost everything (maybe except my toothbrush), and am happy to help you with whatever you may need.
But mostly, I can share thoughts and stories...and as much Schnaps as you want ;)
