About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love meeting people from all walks of life, and experiencing new things. I also am forever restless, and love roadtrips and new experiences. I fly by the seat of my pants on roadtrips and consider couchsurfing as an intergral part of the experience. Meeting locals, sharing good stories over food and perhaps doing some adventuring are all important reasons as to why I am on Couchsurfing.

ABOUT ME

Im super social and lead an active and busy lifestyle. I raced mountain bikes competitively for 10 years. I try to keep active these days and love a good hike or run. I also run a small events company in my hometown. We throw community based events focused on electronic music, an interest I picked up about 15 years ago. I also play drums, bass and guitar as well as DJ. Jack of all trades, master at none :) I associate with people who lead alternative lifestyles, burners, artists, travelers and the like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and always prefer to check out a a new location through the eyes of a local. I tend to go on spontaneous road trips that take me to where ever I feel like going. I tend to steer away from the classic tourist attractions. Long lines and the beaten path don't intrigue me. I prefer checkout the eclectic sides of any new place. The arts and music scene, a classic locals dive bar, cheap but exciting street food. etc etc.

Right now I'm not in an ideal capacity to host, as I have a tiny apartment and no common area. My landlord is also very discerning with when I have visitors who stay over.

Interests

Cycling, DIY projects, roasting my own coffee (I can likely teach you when I come by), drinking copious amounts of coffee. I can play drums, bass and guitar at an incredibly mediocre level.

I threw electronic music counterculture'y events back in my home town all through my 20's . Since moving to Vancouver 3 years ago I've been dabbling in the scene but haven't quite taken the plunge.

Music: Anything that has merit and is unique :) I consider my tastes to be fairly diverse. Lots of eclectic electronic stuff, Trip Hop, Global beat, half steppy, Drum and Bass.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been heli dropped on top of a mountain and rode my mountain bike down. Easily one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm super clean and respectful of a host's space. I understand that you're not running a free airbnb and hosting CS'ers costs time, money and trust.

I am confident in a kitchen (vegetarian and non veg). I'm very much a DIY'er. I'll probably fix that leaking tap, or loose drawer while i'm over. :)

I can work around your schedule and do not expect you to entertain me or conversely im almost always down for an adventure, so if you've got some "Must Do's" lets get after it!
